transonic weapons

Recommended Posts

So on page 75 of the skitarii codex the transonic weapons description is given. The part after auto wounding on a six says that "to wound rolls of 6 are resolved at AP2. During all subsequent rounds of a close combat all wounds are resolved at AP2"

I'm just gonna ask is it just me or is this a bit vague? Does it mean all subsequent rounds of "a close combat" meaning the one you rolled a 6 in or all subsequent rounds of "a close combat" meaning any close combat. Also does the AP2 transfer to the rest of the squad? If not how to you keep track of who has AP2 and who doesn't if you roll the attacks together?

Am I being dense here or am I missing another explaination?

Here is how it works:

My Ruststalkers charge a unit of Space Marines.  During this first round of combat, the Ruststalker's Transonic weapons auto wound only on 6s and those wounds are at AP2 (only the 6s).  This is on a model to model bases.  Now on the Ruststalker's next turn any 6s still auto wound but now ALL wounds are AP2 not just any 6s rolled.

It's also worthy to note that you don't have to score any 6s during that first round of combat to make the subsequent rounds of combat AP2.

Does that help?
