Valkyrion
Are the riders and saddles of the Glottkin and Maggoth lords entirely separate from the body of the beast? Also, how big are the maggoth lords compared to, say, Mamon or AN Other 40k MC (before things like Wraithknights arrived?) Ditto Glottkin and the Slaughterbrute? (I've been offered cheap BNIB for one of each of these and am toying with the idea of Glottkin as GUO, Maggoth as a DP and Slaughterbrute as a Giant Spined Chaos Beast) Cheers for indulging! bozo69pd
Glotkin (my GUO) I took the riders off and put them on 40mm bases to use as more units. Looks great. Slaughterbrute doesn't have riders and I have seen it used as a maulerfiend before, looked good. Maggoth lords... from what I have looked at looks like the saddle is the back component and has legs molded onto it. You then attach one of the 3 torso variants to it. You could prbably green stuff the legs to look blended in if you want. I have been wanting to get some of these models to use and maulerfiends with riders, and the spitting one as a forgefiend. Khornestar
I was thinking the exact same thing for using the Slaughterbrute. Such a kickass model to use as the spined beast or giant spawn, light years ahead of the FW sculpts. BetterOffShred
I was hoping to eventually convert one using some leftover mechanical bits from my three soulgrinder sprues. Lots of cool possibilities there, and yeah, it looks super sick compared to the forgeworld stuff. Though I really like the Decimator engine. -Brett Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/306801-wfb-chaos-models-question-40k-related-honest/#findComment-4023712 Share on other sites
gwarsh41
Both riders can be magnetized pretty easily, which is what I am doing. For display I want them on the glotkin, for play I will want to use them as heralds. Apparently you can never have enough heralds! My glottkin is going to be based a little taller so it is on par with an Imperial Knight, which is what I will use it as. I based him normally and his spikes come to as tall as a imperial Knight but he's not as stocky cuz of the shoulders. His big fat belly helps make up for it though I just call him Stumpy the Chaos Knight. He went traitor because he was made fun of too much as a child.
