Cult Mechanicus as soon as next week?

Recommended Posts

wouldn't that be something, then Allie with a knight. I am so happy to have my Mars themed army.

Those pictures are two sides of the same poster which heavily implies that the Knight si part of the AdMech codex. No need to ally.

Holy... Looks like our hopes are almost fulfilled. Those tracked infantry thingies and those MC dudes look exactly like the tough support that the mobile Skitters need.

And if IK is an actual LoW, then there will be no looking back. You can not imagine how stoked I am right now.

I am literally trying to sell off most every other 40k piece i own to get into this army at full blast. stoked as hell.

I am too throwing everything I can at eBay. Lets hope the rules are half way decent msn-wink.gif

Not ebay, trade sites, dakka, etc. Do you need space marine veterans, come to me! LOL

If the knights are in the AdMech codex now shouldn't they be limited to AdMech in ETL IV?

It's not liek they are exclusivly for AdMech. They still have their own codex but AdMech seems to include the Knights in their own codex as LoW.

Worth asking anyway. Especially as AdMech will lose the HH stuff in ETL. Now that the 40K C:Skitarii can't mix with them, the HH AdMech is for the Age of Darkness forum only.

Two things:

1- Those tracked things are awful looking to me. Just ew. They better have some awesome fluff. Or make a nice, hot cup of tea. Hmm.

2- Why does it matter if a Knight is a LoW when you can just take a Knight Detachment?

Thankyou aethernitas for post #61.

After seeing that picture I felt a great disturbance in the 40k community, as if millions of wallets suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something Awesome has happened..tongue.png

Also what are the names of the big Lads in the bottom right with the tech priesty type? and those Kataphrons on treads look how i imagined, i bet in real life they will be sweet as..wub.png

Mithril.

Because chances are good that the 1-3 IK detachment is gone, leaving us either with the persumably 3+ Knights detachment or the option as LoW.

Rumors at Faeit212 point at the Warden indeed being the LoW for AdMech. I am quite pleased with this turn of events *Palpetine voice*.

Just the Warden? Sure it's the variant i plan to build first once i can afford it but i had been hoping to field my Errant or Paladin with them till i can afford to get it.

Well, if my reasoning is correct, then the IK in the C:IK book will be LoW for the Imperium on top of their own House Detachment. If not, you can always call it a 'count-as'.

On the poster it says Warden. Maybe it is just the Warden. Or maybe they just put that one in there because it looked the best. Who knows.

Well, as far as we know "Imperial Knight Warden" is the name of the new kit that allows you to build all types of Knights, so I think that's the reason why it is the only Knight appearing on the poster.

Also, I don't think Imperial Knights will be included in the Cult Mechanicus Codex as Lords of War, for they are going to have a new dedicated Codex (as the Harlequins), but we will see abouth that. I might well be wrong with my reasoning (which is: you will always be able to have them in your army because the minimum requirement of their "codex detachment" will probably be "1+ Imperial Knights").

Do you still have the option of rolling on the Escalation Warlord Traits Table if your opponent brings a Lord of War?

Nothing in the 7th ed rulebook says that you don't [have the option], but nothing says you do, either. If Escalation says you do, then it still stands.

Not precisely. Escalation is now just another game form, much like Kill Team or Combat Patrol. If you agree to play it, you follow the rules. If not, and you play regular 40k as per BRB, then you just have another big guy on the board with no further implications.

Yes, sorry - I assumed the caveat of 'if you're using Escalation' without stating it.

I hope everyone has seen the rules for the MC unit? That is the unit I wanted to support Skitters. One unit of 4 dudes, 3 with TL-Heavy Phosphor Blaster and one with Power Fists. T7 3W. Amazing midfield plaform. Luminagen rule builds inter-unit synergy and gives us a way to let Knights re-roll charge range as well as strip cover. Besides, 6 TL S6 AP3 shots per dude ain't bad, if you activate the Protection Protocol thingy.

I love this unit. Right on track until now. Now lets hope those Plasma Cannon guys are relentless and the army will be amazing.

This unit would also make a perfect bunker for your Magos to hide in. However, BRB forbids an IC to join a MC. I guess this includes this Maniple. Need some feedback on this.

But overall, a certain list design is taking shape in my head now.

Dayum... just came home and sweet little baby Omnissiah - the Kastelans in all their glory :D

Gotta say - as Tyranid player those castelans look sick. For 120 points - the price of a a more or less vanilla carnifex - you get one less wound and S10 only at Initiative 1 but you also get +1 toughness, a 5++ against ranged, reflecting shots, lots of S6 shots and/or a heavy torrent flamer, flexibel buffs from the protocols (potentially 2 heavy torrent flamer templates per model?! Woot?) and a flexible load-out on a model to model basis. I would say the Kastelan is solid. Ok, who am I kidding - I think it's awesome :D
