HazardousWaster Posted April 28, 2015 Share Posted April 28, 2015 So after some discussion on the army list boards i whittled down a 1000pt starter army listened now i'm starting to put it together. I think the FW special weapon kits are best supplementing your existing force as like you said they're very mono pose unless you're handy with some conversion work. I would be tempted to do a light dry brush over the whole model but i'm not sure which colour would be best because of the different colours used in the camo pattern. not sure which would bring it together. The results didn't turn out as well as expected. http://i1203.photobucket.com/albums/bb386/regnewe11/40k/20150531_122558.jpg The green really didn't stand out well enough against the black, with the larger patches on the tank i guess it helped it be recognisable. I didn't want to use the same green from the armour either as i want that to stand out from the pattern as to me that is the colour of cadia troops and i want them to follow with that. Oddly enough i want clay pigeon shooting yesterday and one of the old army boys that went along wore his old jacket which gave me a bit of inspiration. So i changed around the base colour to karak stone then blobs of caliban green and steel legion drab whilst using rhinox hide to break up the lines gave me this. http://i1203.photobucket.com/albums/bb386/regnewe11/40k/20150531_172259.jpg Very happy with it so far, it looks like it shouldn't get too dark and murky after a quick wash of agrax either to give it a bit more depth.
