Elysians anyone?

Does anyone play an Elysian army? How are they holding up this edition? Think they might do well against the new Eldar?

I was considering running 9 aircraft, 3 Valks, 2 Vendetta, 2 Avengers, and two Vultures magnetized for punishers or 4xMRPs. Then going with Storm troopers and vets, a single platoon to ride in the valks, although mostly to get an extra squad of sentinels, and a squad of TL Lascannon Venators. I am still in the planning phase so my ground forces arent set in stone yet.

I use Elysians as my allied detachment. With Stormtroopers as my primary detachment. My 1850 list is set up to take advantage of the combat drop rule, getting my Elysian vets up the field, and getting a Valk on turn 1. I use stormtoopers as my primary to get the Taurox Prime, and to get the AP3 guns for my primary base of fire. My whole army can deepstrike if I wanted it to. The other reason I take the Stormies is because they can get a baneblade chassis as a lord of war, Which I want. It gives me another superheavy to play with. I plan on being able to field 2 knights and a baneblade, with my guard as well as a full Elysian drop platoon in my allied detachment.

I've actually been playing around with adding IA4 D-99 Elysians allies to my mech-guard lists. A few units jumped out to me as interesting:

Perhaps it's been FAQ'd, but Vendettas are still the old 'dex price for IA3 Elysians. Worth noting.

The Anphelion Project Elysians can take a squad of 9 meltaguns at BS4 for just under 200 points. Woah.

They can also take Vultures with BS4 that cost just 20 points more than Aeronautica price. With Strafing Run, that means they're shooting at ground targets at BS5. Ballistic-Skill-Freaking-Five. With the Twin-Linked Punisher, that's 19.4 hits on average. Against AV11, that's over 3 hull points per average round of shooting, or an (almost) guarantee of pinging light armor/transports to death.

I'm still combing through the various options for Elysians as well, but those are the things that jump out at me.

Just be aware that because you only have light vehicles and fliers that your vehicles are fairly fragile. Elysians are a bit of a glass cannon. They hit hard but they are fragile, and they are heavily reliant on reserve rolls so take that officer of the fleet.
