Samus is here

Yeah one of the Blood Pact in Blood Pact is possessed or aflicted by a part of Samus. Given this, it kinda makes sense then that he is Khornate (and that he's incarnated by the slaughter of billions/trillions in the Heresy)!

PS - it's not recycling, to be technical. It was only a fun allusion to his own content. Samus in BP was just a nice easter egg allusion, no more, especially as it didn't affect the plot.

The amount of things I would have liked to see instead of Samus is practically endless. I cannot even describe how much I do not care about him as a character. Not even getting into what a colossal waste of time the model represents, especially since it looks like a giant dog monkey with cartoon hands and loincloth. Swing and a frustrating :cussing miss Forgeworld.

Wow, seems like this board has been increasingly negative lately. Color me disappointed in the B&C's attitude.

I think the Solar Auxilia command squad is brilliant! Gorgeous models, to be sure! I also like how the Lord Marshall is in there but is actually be used separately on the table.

One thing we need to be careful of is assuming that by designing and modelling Samus, FW has somehow pushed other models being worked on aside in favour of releasing the new model.

FW's designers tend to specialise in particular areas, and although it isn't stated who exactly designed Samus, it was probably Trish Carden, who tends to design the majority of their monstrous creatures - if she wasn't designing Samus, then it's unlikely she would have been working on a different style of model, but another large creature.

Lol did my post seriously get deleted? I'm not allowed to express dislike of model now?

Big brother is watching...

His model isn't quite my cup of tea but his rules are pretty cool!

Lol clearly, more like Samus lovers are watching.

Honestly not a fan of any of Trish Carden's stuff; anything on two legs tends to look too gangly imo.

Annnnnnnd she's responsible for the raven guard contemptor.... furious.gif

I really like the Solar Auxilia command though, especially the helmeted versions.

As for the Samus rules; I bet we're going to see rules for Daemons as a Primary Detachment in Tempest

More stoked for the rules for Samus than the model, that's for sure. The model looked fine at the weekender and looks better now with paint on it. But I wish they'd gone more for a more distorted "unspeakable horror of the warp" look rather than "another wingless Bloodthirster" (or as someone on Heresy30k put it, a shaved werewolf). I feel like Bloodborne's Cleric Beast does a pretty good job of showing off the kind of direction I would've rather seen...

I wonder if there are any cool tricks to play with Born of Murder. Seems like there could be some ally/Relic use shenanigans that might make that work really well but nothing comes to mind immediately.
