If at first you don't succeed, bring heavier firepower.

Hey all. I figured since I was getting back into the hobby and looking to chat and share with people I ought to register and start posting on here.

I'm from the UK, currently bouncing back and forth between Shropshire and Devon with university at the latter. I was previously studying Games Design, however I'm in the process of applying to a different institution following a few screw-ups by the first inst. and Student Finance, to study Game Arts (which is what I was aiming for in the first place.)

Anyhow, I've been collecting and playing casually on and off for about a decade now; revolving back and forth between 40k, Fantasy, LOTR and Inquisition, not to mention the non-tabletop games like Dawn of War, Fire Warrior, Space Marine and so on. So long as it's fun, I'll play it.

I'm generally more about collecting and kitbashing more than playing tabletop, however I'd like to get more into the tabletop side of things now that I'm putting together a new army; Astra Militarum. I've ordered a few pieces off of Forge World to get me started (the Elysian Drop Troop infantry squad and the rebreather heads), as well as a planned trip to my local GW store on Friday in order to pick up some new crafting tools, green stuff and so on. Asides from my planned guardsman army I've had a Napoleonic-inspired Empire army for Fantasy in the pipeline for a little under two years now, as well as some plans to work on some Great Crusade/Heresy era marines.

I've dabbled a bit with the Eldar, Tau, Chaos and Space Marines in the past so I have access to a fair amount of bitz here and there; although I've been trying to find a decent bitz seller online to find some greatcoat-esque legs for my guardsmen. >_> No luck so far.

But yeah, that's me. \o

Welcome aboard, Isinfier!

For your last bit, we have a collection of links to various bits sellers (The Forges of Mars: Bits & Models Sellers). I believe Victoria Miniatures has sets of IG/AM style greatcoat legs. I've bought from Victoria in the past, and she does some great work.

Thank you. \o

I've been taking a gander through the sellers listed there already, as well as a few listed on other sites. Haven't gotten to Victoria Minuatures yet, though. Thank you for the advice. c:
