Himlur
I guess I'm a little confused on the wording, can you take your ion safe when charging? It doesn't clearly state so. munocat
You shield when activate works against all shooting attacks until the start of your opponent shooting next turn Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307141-imperial-knights-ion-shield-and-overwatch/#findComment-4031005 Share on other sites
jeffersonian000
However, it's facing is fixed at the beginning of your opponent's shooting phase, which means that unless you already had it facing to the front, it won't be facing that Overwatch fire on your charge. FashaTheDog
  However, it's facing is fixed at the beginning of your opponent's shooting phase, which means that unless you already had it facing to the front, it won't be facing that Overwatch fire on your charge.  SJ What if you moonwalk into the assault?   Then no shield for you my friend But you can only charge a unit you shot and you have no weapons up your rear end, so I guess that would require some innovative conversions  Not exactly true as by that definition models without ranged weapons like Hormagaunts and Genestealers would never be allowed to charge, so it is only if you shot that this would be a problem. I mean forgoing your shooting to moonwalk into the assault may not be the optimal choice, but if your shield is rear facing and you feel you must have it against that overwatch then cue up Billie Jean and glide on in with style. Are there any rules saying that walkers can only walk with their front facing forward? FashaTheDog
Just like how vehicles can drive full speed perpendicular to the direction of their treads, logical vehicle turning and movement went out of style in 1998 when 2nd edition came to an end.
