Tenebris
How can one achieve the "purple glow" effect with Citadel colors? The blue one is simple enough and the green one too, but what about the purple one. I really want to replicate a more sinister glow effect, hence purple. Chaeron
What sort of tone are you looking for? I'd say purple would be quite hard to achieve, but my advice would be to work from say Xereus Purple, and use Genestealer Purple as the final highlight, perhaps mixed with Emperor's Children for added brightness. I would try to paint it like OSL - have the darkest purple as the base and work that out the furthest, with the brightest in the centre as normal - and smatterings from there. The difficulty I would think would be the tone - you may have to play with either pink or blues to get the perfect desired effect, although I think Emperor's Children is your best bet when carefully mixed in to get that brightness, whilst maintaining the purple hue. Alternatively, a paint such as Dark Reaper, working to Xereus and highlighted with Genestealer could equally suffice.
