Macbrown
Hi, I just used some typhus corrosion on some khorne daemon swords, and I was satisfied with the result. I was wondering if anyone else has used it for weathering anything else, what your results were or advice. I was thinking of possibly using it to age some sms and their machines. Chaeron
I've mostly used it on vehicles or metals - I think you could use it quite effectively on most things to be fair, but the challenge is the application. Definitely do some testers and see what comes out - the texture definitely adds another level! sedibear
It's very good. If you water it down a bit and do some downstrokes you can make it look like weathering from rain. Try not to overdo the application as there IS such a thing as too much weathering. Also, if you've played around with it it looks very different wet than dry, so keep that in mind when applying it. I did the weathering on my IK using Typhus/Ryza Rust. It's a little hard to see the 'rain-weathered' effect I am talking about, they're mostly on the gold trim: http://i.imgur.com/YfGoCAC.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307238-thoughts-citadels-typhus-corrosion/#findComment-4033698 Share on other sites
Macbrown
Sedibear, have you used on the lower leg carapaces? Or is that some other weathering technique? sedibear
yes, that is a Typhus/Ryza combo also. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307238-thoughts-citadels-typhus-corrosion/#findComment-4034452 Share on other sites
Slips
Used some of it on my Destroyer Marines followed by a Light Grey Drybrush to make it look like Chemical Ash. Came out decent. There is also some Nihlak Oxide in there too. Kaldoth
Here's a picture of the side of a Sicaran I just finished. A little hard to tell with the extreme weathering I've done, but in the central armor portion with the chevrons, around the top of the chevrons and the bottom near the tracks is Sterland Mud. The left and right walls of the chevrons, as well as the bottom portion are done with Typhus Corrosion. Big difference in consistency and texture, TC being more wash like (obviously). http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c206/Kaldoth/IMG_20150507_102137394.jpgCheers,-Kal Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307238-thoughts-citadels-typhus-corrosion/#findComment-4034497 Share on other sites
