Decorating Grey Knights?

I'd like to start new, small GK force to use with Nemesis Strike formation. Though, not sure if I am a fan of painting them like every single other GK in existence. So, out of curiosity, what you'd say to:

A) Painting them deep grey. They are supposed to have unpainted metal armour, and wasn't adamantite deep grey? Or would you refuse to play non-silver GK?

B) Would say fur tabards and half-cloaks be okay? Or would they not fit the army at all? Space Marines wear these often in fluff, and I could easily get bits to make justicars/librarians stand out a bit more, but would that look stupid/clash with fluff?

C) Speaking of librarian, combi/melta or combi/plasma? Or should he stick to storm bolter and GW adding other options was heresy?

D) Not sure I am fan of only white/black/red heraldry - is it possible to use other colours or again, will it look dumb and result in refusal of games everywhere?

(Yes, yes, I know 'paint your guys how you want' but I'd like to do something that is both fluffy and stands out) :(

a) It's a very good option... i did something like that in the past, previous an incident where all my Gk wehre stolen from my car. was so sad.

I'd painted them in a grey NMM tone. they look fantastic!

tabards? yes please... they need some kind of "knightly" decoration (also try banners on justicars)

c) definitely combi plasma...

d) keep the black/red/white... other colors seems not so GK
