bozo69pd
So for my traitor guard I decided to go with a LR TC squadron, i'm thinking vanquisher or punisher, and 2 exterminator autocannons. I have a blob of 30-40 infantry with their PCS (using dark vengeance cultists) and a unit of veterans. I also have a lot of nurglified hobbit goblins that I would like to use as conscripts. Are conscripts a waste of points and useless, or are they good bubblewrap? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307304-conscripts/ Share on other sites
WarriorFish
Conscripts are cheap, so their main uses are bubble wrap and holding lines as well as tying things up and bogging them down. They benefit from support to keep them in the fight accordingly as you'd expect as their stats are poor. Gunmonkey88
Definitely pair them with either a priest or commissar otherwise they'll likely run at the first morale check. CoffeeGrunt
Give them a Priest, 50 Fearless bodies for 175pts is such hilariously cheap filth that no other army can commit to the field. Jolemai
As there are no official models, what do you use as Conscripts? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307304-conscripts/#findComment-4035040 Share on other sites
Altasmurf
Really any bog guardsmen will do, just use some sort of marking (Cadian conscripts often have a white stripe down their helmet) to differentiate them from your standard guardsmen. They're cheap and cheerful but the deffinatly require some sort of character baby sitter. WarriorFish
Yeah, just normal Guardsmen models as they're equipped the same. Something to set them apart somehow is worth considering too, the Cadian style white stripe is a good method as mentioned :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307304-conscripts/#findComment-4035239 Share on other sites
Vel'Cona
Alternatively, you could use modified Chaos Cultists. Just scrape off the Marks and spikes!!! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307304-conscripts/#findComment-4035438 Share on other sites
