rezin70
I personally do not like the generic space marine thunder hammer bit. It seems too puny. I want something like Coteaz has, the square epic hammer head.Is there anywhere to get that bit? Maybe a third party miniature company? Here is an example of what im talking about. Any ideas? Peredyne
I would build that with a bit of square rod, some brass strip and a etched brass aquila. Then glue it to the haft of your choice. Is this generic, or specific to modeling? BTW it doesnt have to be exactly like this just want something with a square head. Carlson793
Maybe something along the lines of this guy from Spellcrow (with some trimming and icon additions)? http://www.spellcrow.com/images/DwarfRunePriestwithaHammerP.jpg ...or maybe one of the new Legionary Smash Hammers from Kromlech? http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh633/Maciej_Liwanowski/hammer_zpskdjoyaeh.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307321-alternate-thunder-hammer/#findComment-4035399 Share on other sites

A rod in the shape of a square. Most hobby, arts, and craft stores carry a selection, usually wood, but there are plastic rods on the market. Essentially for a few bucks you can make the thunder hammers you want as opposed to going out finding appropriate models and cutting off chunks. it'll just take a bit more effort. If I didn't already have a paucity of Hammers I'd probably go about it just like suggested. Kaldoth
Blob of GS, six pieces of plasticard to make a rectangular cube stuck to the sides, plasticard rod for a haft ;) Cheap, and plenty of leftover hobby material for other projects.Cheers,-Kal Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307321-alternate-thunder-hammer/#findComment-4035718 Share on other sites
rezin70
All good suggestions. The lazy side of me says buy the kromlech hammers, but I know the right way to do it is to craft it, cause i know down the road ill need some other bit.......
