SagriS
Isn't that from the Dust warfare games? No, this is my own work, from beginning to end. you find it difficult to believe? )) I assembled it from various pieces, then made a silicone mold and cast in resin. http://firepic.org/images/2015-05/03/h9l1lszdep9v.jpghttp://firepic.org/images/2015-05/03/fcp4whgtyg29.jpg http://firepic.org/images/2015-05/03/w43i82zfw3dq.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307647-russian-sentinel-ice-land-proxy-valhalla-vostroya/#findComment-4042916 Share on other sites

Nomus Sardauk
Dude that Sentinel is bananas, I love the funky dieselpunk design and how the turret looks like it was lifted from an old soviet tank. Also, that folding leg design for hunkering down behind cover is genius and seriously impressive from a modelling standpoint. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307647-russian-sentinel-ice-land-proxy-valhalla-vostroya/#findComment-4043230 Share on other sites

Brother-Chaplain Kage
That is some incredible scratch building. By any chance, were you inspired by the Armored Fighting Walkers from the old PS2 game, Ring of Red? That's what I immediately thought of when I saw this. http://i.imgur.com/YqTLwFw.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307647-russian-sentinel-ice-land-proxy-valhalla-vostroya/#findComment-4043661 Share on other sites
Bjorn Firewalker
Isn't that from the Dust warfare games? I see I'm not the only one to think, 'Paolo Parente's "Dust"?' upon seeing the design. Good work, overall. I think it should be larger than a standard Sentinel, however. It obviously needs at least two crew members- a pilot and a turret gunner- and I doubt the chassis is large enough to fit them, PLUS the vehicle's engines, PLUS its fuel tanks or batteries, PLUS a magazine or a generator for the weapons, PLUS an auspex or sensors other than the crew members' eyeballs... Brother, it's fantastic, and perhaps much fiction. for example with current technologies it is impossible to build a titanium and make him walk. and we look at all the equipment in terms of development. .. But if you argue, I think that the different atomic motors, engines or pretentious in one imperial power can move my car. The crew, I thought about it, the crew of one person, the commander of the machine, the second member of the crew is a servitor servitor optionally have the whole body, so it can be in sargofage inside the machine and control its movement. Guns - shooting and reloading it makes automation even when our technology is already possible ... Vel'Cona
Signature added! Probably the best quote imaginable for modern 40k players. I always fall back on Rule of Cool when I'm talking about 40k. "Why do they have chainsaw swords?" "Why do they use city-sized walking mechs?" "WHY IS THEIR ARMOR YELLOW???" "Because it's cool, that's why!"
