Fluff Subforum?

The Space Marines have a sub-forum for fluff regarding home-grown chapters and characters stuff.  I think we should have a similar thing, particularly because the Astra Militarum affords a greater level of individuality and customization than most other armies.  I would like to see a subforum that indexes the regimental fluff of my new brothers in arms.  What do you guys think?

If you are referring to the Liber Astartes forum, that forum is also for homegrown Astra Militarum forces. We simply include "Astartes" in the name of the forum as an homage to an old website maintained by Kurgan the Lurker.

Yes, we know that the forum name can be a bit confusing, but the forum description says it all: "Homegrown Chapters, warbands, Orders, Ordos, etc."

In addition, this forum can be used for the creation of a homegrown Astra Militarum/Militarum Tempestus force. Whether you choose to use the Liber Astartes forum, this forum, or both, is entirely up to you.

We're not going to create an additional forum just for the discussion of homegrown Astra Militarum forces, however. The key to the Liber Astartes forum is that it is for all homegrown forces for the factions covered here at the B&C.

I guess that's a "no" for my idea about a forum dedicated to all squishy things in the 40k Universe sad.png. We could have had a forum all about pool noodles, squishy pillows, and unicorns but no. All we get is grimdark all the time.

I'll content myself with my squishy pillow, tanks, and little guardsmen in the Liber, I guess happy.png.

What about this idea:

Have a sticked post that's like "House Regiments" or something.  In that post, everyone can post a background of their regiment with photos and stuff.  In the title post, it can be edited to link to all of the posts.  Also in the thread, people can discuss the merits, compatibility, etc. of their particular fluff and ask for comments and advice.

We already have the Tabula Imperialis, which is intended to fulfill a similar function. Admittedly, it's not finished, but it's on my short list of Very Important Things to Finish. Also, I'm seriously considering re-naming it "Tabula Miltarum" to match the naming conventions.

Also, there's a Big Project I've been considering for the lore of the grimdark universe, but I need to discuss it with some others, first.

Going back to the tabula, it is intended to provide a basic index of all Astra Militarum/Militarum Tempestus regiments, along with links to articles. Those articles might be similar to the Index Astartes articles you see in the Liber Astartes forum, or they might be to external sites. My Big Project is intended to augment the articles issue.

That's very cool! Thank you for your dedication to the fluffy side of the hobby. biggrin.png
