ShinyRhino Posted May 18, 2015 Share Posted May 18, 2015 None of these options feels ideal to me. They seem a little weedy and out of style for the rest of the robot body. You're adding a small, inner-workings style bit to a body that's rounded and smooth armor plating. You might consider altering the original heads with additional bitz instead of replacing it entirely. Nehekhare Posted May 19, 2015 Author Share Posted May 19, 2015 from a WYSIWYG standpoint Actually, the main argument for the arm conversion was that I can use the 40k AdMech Kastelans as 30k Mechanicum Castellax, which always come with 2 integrated bolters/flamers. http://i.imgur.com/iGYc4s7l.jpg In a Cult Mechanicus elimination maniple, I'll propably use the fists. With the correct protocols, these make for 6 S10 attacks on the charge, while only carapace weapon fire rate is doubled anyway and twin-linked isn't that great of a bonus anymore when they already hit on a 3+. The fact that you've planned ahead to be able to use these guys in 30k is pretty smart, too.
