MontyBob
Hi - I know there are a few out there for terminators to wield zweihanded, but those are all pole-weapons. I'm thinking something like this: http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs45/f/2009/063/2/4/Light_of_the_Emperor_by_kingmong.jpg Any hints/tips/pointers/tutorials out there? Brother-Chaplain Kage
The reason all of the zweihanders for termies are either pole weapons or held in a single hand is because of the actual physical limitations of a terminator being able to hold a sword like that. It's difficult enough for a marine power armor to do it, but what that GK is doing in that picture is practically impossible to do without some serious alterations, and even then, you may not be able to do it. Durus
Looking at all the plastic Termie kits and the handful of PA models that hold a weapon like that, there are only two that have a similar pose, i.e. with the sword upright. Ezekiel and Castellan Crowe. While transplanting PA onto TDA is an involved conversion PA torsos are only one or two mm slimmer than Terminator ones. Considering the slightly different look of Grey Knight Termies I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you could get away with filing off the shoulder pads and back of the torso from that mini and tack a plastic Termie back and pads on it. Still needs a lot of GS, to fix the stomach area, sides of the chest armor and collar specifically, but should be easy enough to do. Final touch would be to beef up the forearms like on TDA. Then again the only real difficulty in reposing a plastic mini would be cutting a bit of the inside of the arms away so they can meet in front of the torso assuming the arms are long enough you can get away with it without cheating (making the arms longer). Then you just need two closed fists and a sword. Really depends on how comfortable you are with rebuilding some stuff with GS if necessary. One thing to keep in mind though is that the Stormbolters on the kits are huge so the pose would probably not look as elegant as in the picture due to that. Maybe my little rant was just stating the obvious, but I had nothing better to do.
