My books arrived, holy crap  there is a lot in here.

I purchased the gamer's collection.  Trying to find the rules for Rad-phage.

Anyone got a page number?

In Legion Astartes: Crusade Army List, at the back, in or around the Weapon Profiles section you should find the Entry to Rad-Missiles which should have Rad-Phage in the vicinity. Don't have the books on me atm (school) to give you a page number.

Yes have the red books.  I thought the rule would be by Rad-Missiles.  But when around there, nothing.... almost looks like there was a spot for the rule and at some point in editing it was removed or something.

Check the entry for Destroyer Marines.

Nothing.... Like I said, it almost looks like there was a spot for it at one point.

Also, what are everyone's opinions on the Vox and Vex upgrades?

Plan on doing RoW the Reaping

Huh. Weird. I'll check my books when I get home tonight.

Vox is good if you have Deepstrikers and/or Barrage Weapons. Otherwise, save yourself the points. Vexillas are great for re-rolling Failed Morale. Its not such a big deal for a Few legions but its a good idea to give it to squads who can take it as an assurance.

You and me too friend. I have the gamer collection and I still haven't found it yet. I think forgeworld forgot it.

If he got the gamers collection that's just the two red books though.

Fair point. The information is there if it's needed, though. :)

Information is power.

I'm guessing it's some kind of typo then, in the red books. I don't have my LACAL on me to check but I'm gonna assume it's not in mine either.

I've checked through both my copy of LACAL and LAICL - it's not in either as far as I can tell. confused.gif

whelp, thanks for checking.

How does the rule work? (if your aloud to put it up here)

Although quoting rules verbatim isn't allowed, giving the basic gist of the rule should be okay. Basically, if a model loses at least one wound to a weapon with the Rad-phage special rule, then they suffer a one point loss of toughness for the rest of the game.

What's are everyone thoughts on squad size for Destroyers and Heavy Weapon teams?

5 or 10?

Personally, I use my Destroyers as a bodyguard for my Moritat, so I stick to keeping them at five men. Making the squad up to ten uses points I need elsewhere.

In terms of rules, yeah, IF surely have me torn considering I love the shield wall feel and the higher toughness (which DG has in 40k). But then, whenever I think of the fluff and see even my half finished test mini I painted, it proves why DG are the only choice for me.

If in doubt, do a ZM list of those armies you like, or make them as viable allies. Or just wait it out a bit and see where your mindset keeps pulling you back to.

The one thing to also look at when choosing a Legion is their viable Allies. I got lucky with Death Guard because the two other Legions that pique my interest are Sons of Horus and Night Lords (although Night Lords would need to be run as Primary). You can definitely make some flavorful themes with the Allies Matrix, and as such some of my Legionnaires are using Sons of Horus weaponry or have Warmaster's Honors on their armor.
