DISCLAIMER : My opponent knew exactly what he was playing against  a week in advance 

The Pup ( paladin ) and the Solem Vow ( Gallant )  did sustain injuries  but the Pup  took a blood thirster down before he left the battle field and The Solem Vow a terminator squad and a Hellbrute

I know the last picture seems wierd but the Blood letters deep struck there and then died immediately to gattling fire

Notes
Having BS / WS 5 on the Non Warlord Knights was alright , I felt like the  Battle Cannons did more work than the Thermal Cannon on the Errant 
Having BS  6 on the Crusader  was  AMAZING   That gattling dose a lot of work 
Stubbers have thier uses , I dont think  taking a melta gun would have done much fer me in that game 
Weapon Virus against the Crusader is dirty  I made the mistake of using the gatling when I forgot I had it on him  and he stripped one of his own hull points from  gets hot. 
If you have the cards , you can prop em up on the backsides of the knights and youll always be reminded that you have an hierloom 

Out of the Hierlooms
I got 2 rerolls from the ravager on  the errant 
Helm of the nameless warrior was very potent as the Gallant was just trucking through  stuff before it eventually went down 
Sactuary  didint do anything but  I   didint let him cross the board at all  so its gonna take some more testing
The Paragon Gauntlet was wasted as the warden never got in close combat 

I think the exalted court is way better than  the  House detachment because the blanket bonus of +1ws/bs and +2ws/bs   is just better than objective secured

That table was set up to make it easier to manoeuvre five knights, right? Please tell me you don't play every game with so little terrain.

Ive actually played quite a few games with very little terrian , normally it dosent help me all that much cause I run  massed thunder wolf cavalry  @ n @   but no we didint tilt the terrian in  any particular direction for this.

He had a blood thirster ,  two hellbrutes ,  a big crab walker thingy , a nurgle psyker , two nurgle squads in rhinos  , two big terminator squads with chainfists , a squad of blood letters   he told me he was running  2000 points  he hid a lot of his stuff behind the rocks  in the back corner. 

Why would I run  2000 points against 1500 points of enemies?   thats ridiculous

Not really surprising that you win on a table with that small amount of terrain.

If ya look at the other game being played onthe far table in the pictures youll see a similarly sparsely populated table , its just a norm for the store that we dont use a whole lot of terrain. 


Let it also be known , he had side choice so its not like I  picked the side with more rocks.

My FLGS looks similar. My home table is packed with so much terrain that it's hard to move around.

It really just depends on the meta.  My opponents placed all of the terrain and picked their table edge.  Some people like dense terrain, myself included.  Others like sparse terrain.

So, what about this terrain ? No, I only joke! That's the purpose of testing: you play a lot of games with a lot of different variables thrown in or out. Did you call him out on his cowardice for hiding behind the rocks, at least?

 

That looks like it would have felt so empowering fielding that many Knights. You mention the Battle Cannon(s) getting more play in this game. Do you think if the Errant was closer to the enemy (maybe if he wasn't hiding behind freaking rocks) the Thermal Cannon would have worked better for you? I'm really losing faith in my ETL Errant's weapon so I need to hear some good news and quick! But then again, it all depends on what you're facing, really. Never mind, my doubts have been soothed by the thought of 30k Salamanders dying as one.

 

It's good to hear the Exalted Court Limited Edition* works well. Will you be trying out anything else out from the new Codex? If you are, let us know how it turns out and be sure to take lots of pictures. This report was quite lovely !

It felt like the Errant despite having the ap 1 weapon didint do Enough with just the one template , the Battle cannon seemed like a lot better of a sweeper I  think maybe if the errant had been on the side with the  crab thingy it would have been better than the warden to deal with it but that unfortunately wasant the case. 

I  actually used the regular exalted court formation from  the codex , I woulda needed to run a second warden as opposed to the gallant to run the limited edition one.  Id like to run that one but id need to buy another arm assembly to make another gattling gun which i will  certainly do when the prices on the bits to do so come down. XD

Ah, I see. Misunderstood which one you were talking about somehow. Well, no matter- we understood each other in the end.

 

I'll throw this by you as you are now my Imperial Knight tester (that means I get to vicariously live through you): would you consider it bad taste to switch out the exact Knight build the Exalted Court of House Terryn uses? Meaning, I personally find it better that a Knight Gallant be the Master of Judgement rather than a Knight Warden and so I would want it switched around. In fact, I would do this very thing, damn everyone's eyes!

 

Thoughts? Everyone can be included in this discussion, not just Bladewolf, the knightly Knight tester.

I think its very strange that they didint make the master of judgement  a gallant , it would have made a  lot more sense but I dont think its something you can really change if you wanna play that formation   which makes me very sad  I think if you cleared it with your opponent first it wouldnt be an issue but it really depends on who yer playing I  wouldnt do it Id just try and get my hands on another gattling arm and swap out one of my gallants arms 

Formations are weird like that and GW  really dropped the ball forcing you to run 2wardens for the super hyper special formation  which is  insanely strong in my opinion

Buy  all the Knights  !   Then when people complain you have spares that you can lend them ! 

 

I own 6 right now but I plan on getting one or two of the forgeworld ones ,  I  really want to work them into my  lists  the Chainfist Bro or the Lancer look like a lot of fun
