Hellrender
Just a question on the arm/elbow part. On my knight, both elbows are rather loose. This makes the arm swing a 360 everytime there is a little bit of movement to the knight. I could glue it, but that i can't swivel the gun/sword around anymore. Does anybody have an idea how to fix it? i just want it a bit firmer, so that it stays in place unless i push it into a direction. CommodusXIII
You can try adding just the tiniest dab of glue, then breaking it loose once assembled. Too much glue and you'll rip the joint apart, but the added friction will make the arm more difficult to rotate/easier to pose. Grotsmasha
Using something nice and slim (hobby knife maybe) wedge a small amount of blutac deep into the joint. Apostle of the 30th Host
Have you undercoated it yet? Normally getting some paint in there adds enough friction to stiffen up any joints you want to be able to move still. Dark Bjoern
Use magnets. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/308095-quick-question-on-assembling-a-knight/#findComment-4056522 Share on other sites
Hellrender
Thanks for the answers! Not sure if magnets will do it, or atleast, my magnets. The ones that are strong enough are also 2 big for my drill bits. Can try the glue option, but will need to find my plastic glue for it. Otherwise i can try upsizing the joint a bit with green stuff. I normally undercoat by airbrush, which is fairly thin in it's application :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/308095-quick-question-on-assembling-a-knight/#findComment-4056787 Share on other sites
Kriegsmacht
I figure I'll add some advice that I will have to remember myself since I ran into a small annoyance. If you plan on painting the legs it's best to either do it while they're not attached the hip piece or leave the back two wires off. Kilofix
To tighten the elbow joint - brush clear nail polish in between. Really. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/308095-quick-question-on-assembling-a-knight/#findComment-4056943 Share on other sites
