Kassill
Hello all. I recently picked up my brush again and have been working hard on my Wolves. I'm down to a pot and a half of Adeptus Battlegrey and looking for a match to eventually end up replacing my dwindling stock. I'm curious, has anyone used Army Painter's Uniform Grey spray primer? Looks like a good choice on screen, but not sure. Would definitely help for vehicles and future infantry etc. Thanks all Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/308154-adeptus-battlegrey/ Share on other sites
CommodusXIII
Army Painter sells small touch-up bottles of acrylic paint that is already matched to their primer colors. I matched the perfect shade of green by painting a swatch of my preferred GW paint next to a few of the most likely candidates from Army Painter. Comparison in person is the only real way to color-match. Carlson793
On another site, there's a compatibility chart showing multiple paint lines. Looks like Adeptus Grey in now Mechanicus Standard Grey. Oh, and there's GW's official conversion chart. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/308154-adeptus-battlegrey/#findComment-4060997 Share on other sites
Kriegsmacht
I've been using Uniform Grey spray as my go to primer most of the time. I feel it is more close to Dawnstone/Codex Grey. I have a pot of Adeptus Battlegrey and it looks a lot darker. Here's a pic of one of my Knights shoulder armor. Razblood
Look into the Vallejo Game Color "Extra Opaque" line, they are pretty much the foundation range with a few extra colours, as far as I know the greys match exactly but a couple of the colours are slightly different shades.
