Okay first attempt at HH IF List

HQ Sigismund (230)

ROW Stone Gauntlet

Troops:

Breacher Squad1 x 10 vex, vox, PW 260

Breacher Squad2 x 10 vex, vox, PW 260

Tactical x 15 vex, PF 225

Templar's x 10 Combat shield, vex, Power Guantle 370

Elites:

Cont Mort Dread w/Assualt 180

Rapier x2 w/ quad 120

Term x 5 w/P.F 200

-Dedicated transport Spartan w/ ceramite 315

Heavy:

HW team w/ML and Flak 210

Vin Laser Destroyer 130

2,500 on the dot.

Idea is to put Sig w/Termies in spartan and go Warlock hunting.

Everything slowly move up and hail down bullets.

While templars take out anything annoying.

Thoughts?  Tear it apart, this hobby is expensive and don't want to waste any money on things I don't need!

Thanks!

I'd give the Templar And Siggy the Spartan over the Termies. Since the Templar Have Furious Charge and Sigismund gives +1 Initiative on the Charge, they make for much more devastating Charges over Terminators even if they only have Power Swords. Also, you can DS The termies with the Teleportation Transponder Anyways and give the Templar a Nuncio-Vox so that they can no-scatter within 6".

  • They Also can Sweep, unlike terminators.

I'd also drop the Tac Squad and buy something with more Punch. As it stands, your only real big threat is the Spartan and whatever you decide to shove into it. Maybe consider swapping out the ML Squad for a Deredeo Too since thats more flexible for roughly the same cost with a bit more punch to boot.

Maybe by dropping the Tac Squad you beef up the Termy Squad and give them more of a Defined Role

Apart from that, maybe consider giving the Breachers a special weapon or two if possible since thats one of their benefits over a regular tac squad and not using it is not making up for the fact that they cost more in points.

Also, give the Spartan a Flare Shield. Always include it, its very powerful for what it does (S8 no longer being able to do damage in the Front arc or S9 Blasts/Templates.)

good good, thanks.

K what do you feel is optimal build for deredeo?

Also, if I drop tac do I put extra guys in breacher?

What weapons do you take?

with this ROW can't deep strike

Should I even take termies?

Though I'd like to have something to deal with opponents termies

Forgot about the ROW Lol :p

If you add more to he breachers take Graviton guns if anything. Theyre a defensive unit and shouldnt be moving much so the Heavy 1 of the gun shouldnt be a problem.

Deredeo: depends he basic autocannons and missile launcher are good enough but if your faving more 2+ saves than vehicles plasma is better.

If you give the termies shields for a 3++ and T5 footslogging them shouldnt be that big of a deal

thank you.

I thought only terminators with the (character) special rule could take the IF shield.

Can they all take it, if so that's what I'll do.

Maybe even get lucky and they will come out with some from FW

Any IF Terminator or Terminator Character can swap their Combi-Bolter for one.

The Black Templar FW Terminator Shields are good enough but take a bit of converting to get right.

So, I was considering doing this but with some Cataphractii Armor and the Special Weapons (to get the Thunderhammers).  What left arms would you end up using to fit them with Storm shields, and is there a better way of getting their Thunderhammers?

This is actually very similar to a list I just ran recently. Get those breacher squads bigger and if you can get them apothecaries. 15 to 20 man breacher squads with Stone gauntlet and apothecaries are a royal pain to dislodge and they let your hammer units focus on doing exactly that. I used two twenty man squads with special weapons and all they did was play the objective game and deal with opportunity targets. Meanwhile Sigismund and friends steamrolled through the enemy lines.
