Short story anthology

I have an idea for an alternative to the fanthology, without deadlines. Edit it as you please, but no angry marines etc as i may send it to black library, if that is how you get the books published. Probably too big a project but just for fun.

First story.

Sergeant Tarelikos led his squad across the windswept dunes, his bronze armour scarred by the constant warfare it had seen for the last 100 years. At a single not his brothers fell in behind him, boltguns raised, ready for any sudden movements that would indicate an ambush. They knew that somewhere out here, a camp of greenskins was located. Above him, the twin moons of Malgun Prime shone with a spectral glow. The night echoed with the distant gunfire of far off battles, and Tarelikos wished he could be there, in the middle of battle, not out here, slinking around in the desert chasing a rumoured Ork base. Yet as a sergeant he had no authority to argue with his captain, and so here he was, scouting the deserts. They reached a small town, or the remains of one. The wrecked balustrades and dusty streets were ominously silent. Suddenly, a roar went up and the booming chatter of solid slug weapons sounded. The bullets ricocheted off his armour, the proud emblem of his chapter, the Light Bringers, protecting him again. Their retribution was terrible. As their bolters gave the emperors valediction to the vile xenos, Tarelikos smiled.
