Kaiser Senpai
is it possible to make some pictures outside in daylight quality light? i'm pretty sure the flash "ruins" an otherwise excellent paintjob in these last pictures! Of course! These were done real quick just because it was past midnight and I hadn't done a progress update in a while. The camo is really cool, very different to what you normally see. Fantastic job there. I think your exhausts look too "clean" for me. I base my exhausts with bolt gun, then wash with typhus corrosion, follow this with drybrush of ryza rust then chainmail. It gives a oily rusted look like this. Great stuff look forward to seeing more Yeah I forgot about the bronze. Thanks for the reminder. I personally really like the contrast but have to remind myself this is my 'realistic' army, so 'dirty' it is! I still need to grab some oxide and then I'll experiment with washes and typhus corrosion. Kaiser Senpai
Ok I need some advice. I've received my pigments from Secret Weapon (Urban Dust) and I just assumed that there would be tutorials somewhere for that particular set. I can't seem to find anything and I'm a bit apprehensive to just use the basic weathering tutorials when what I really want is for the tanks to look like a building collapsed around them. Ideas? Also, I got some fuel barrels to make fire barrels, and I was wondering where you all think they should be attached, and if you had ideas for making them detachable after the fact that the model has been constructed and painted. WarriorFish
I'm afraid I can't help with the powders, but you can do whatever you like with the fire barrels :) I put them on the back so they don't get in the way or look odd - or perhaps more importantly make it harder to transport ;) Magnetising is always good as an addition but not necessary here, as the barrel could be anything if you liked :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/308258-oraxian-7th-armored-matrons-of-steel-etl-wip/page/2/#findComment-4078593 Share on other sites
Kaiser Senpai
OK. Made these guys tabeltop-ready. I'll still probably fiddle with the weathering pigments, but I'm claiming them as done for the ETL. Here's some pics I took today. Not the best with the overcast sky, but it's still better than previous pictures.
