It was a good time, with three linked scenarios.  You can still download a player's packet (and hopefully the scenarios now that the event is completed) over at CreativeTwilight.

Game 1:  Vs Necrons (Decurion).  The game simulated a the invasion / drop by the Chaos forces, and their rapid advance towards the Imperial Citadel and its precious object.  Imperial forces were awarded points for destroying chaos units, Chaos forces were awarded points for exiting the table through the Imperial deployment zone border.  Imperial forces were provided with mines (which I used to channel my opponent towards my Blood Angels).  On three of the game tables were objective markers, which if gained, gave the controlling side an added benefit.  I captured the objective that made all imperial units fearless (as long as I held it).  A secret undisclosed factor was that for every >half strength unit that exited the table, the Chaos player would earn a "resurrection point"  for game 2; the Imperial side would earn them for each Chaos unit fully eliminated.  I won, 11-0.

Game 2:  Vs Traitor Blood Angels / drop pod spam / CAD.  This game is hard to describe.  It is meant to simulate an ambush on the Chaos forces by the imperials (or at least a good counterattack).  There were 4 objectives placed near each table corner, the Chaos deployment zone was in a 24-inch wide strip down the length of the table, and points were earned both for the objectives, and for having units within 12-inches of the Chaos table edge at the end of the game.  There were more special objectives on a few of the tables - granting things liked added resurrection points.  When a unit was eliminated, a player could spend a point to bring it back in the game as ongoing reserves.  The 4 corner objectives also acted as homing beacons for deep striking / teleporting units.  My opponent had slaughtered his Game 1 opponent, and had earned 4 or more resurrection points.  With all of his army designed to null-deploy and be objective secured, and having the ability to bring back 4 or more units to my two+, there was no way this was going to go right for me.  I was able to ressurect a Baal Pred and another Pred which I brought in around turn 4 to try and contest some objectives.  My opponent recycled a Obsec Pod, two Obsec combat tactical squads, and a dreadnought.  At the end, I had one objective, my opponent had the rest, and all of his available reserves had walked on to his deployment zone for more...I lost 20-2 or something like that.

Game 3:  Blood Angels Plus Ultramarines Vs Necron Decurion and Nurgle CAD.  This game needed more time for planning and to carry out, we barely were able to get to turn 3.  When the clock started, each player was to halve their forces, to simulate survivors of the earlier battles, all damaged and exhausted.  Woulds and hull points were halved, rounding down to no less than 1.  Units were halved, including eliminating half of all special/heavy weapons.  After doing that, you then deployed and played.  The mission was kill points.  Scoring was actually based on a percentage of kill points earned vs kill points available on a scale.  In retrospect, my team deployed wrong.  With the Necrons simply needing a single 6 to haywire a vehicle, we probably should have reserved all the Rhino equivalents, and this cost us the game.  Loss, 7-4.

Overall, the Chaos players as a team, won the day.  However, in the narrative, while we fought out Game 3, the Eldar - always up to their own trickery - came in and carried off the object that Chaos was seeking, leaving both sides - Imperial and Chaos - as victims to the Laughing God.
