Your favorite HH character

My vote goes for Little Horus. He is rather a quiet but skilled leader and he feels sorry for the betrayel of his brothers, but his personal loyality for Horus overcomes his innerst doubts. A tragic person whos loyality drives him seriously into inner conflict.

favorite loyalist: Targutai Yesugei- Scars made me really appreciate Chris Wraight's characterization skills with this old stormseer. Especially when he's like a kindly father figure to the shattered legions, and a brother to a primarch in spirit.

favorite Traitor- Mortarion- He started off as such a boring primarch in the Eisenstein, but his portrayal in scars and other short stories really paint a picture of a post-human who just wanted to stop psykers, and ended up being betrayed by everyone, to eventually even betraying his own beliefs. Plus his tank-like fighting style in HH: Conquest, Vengeful spirit and others made me think he's just the toughest opponent.

One of the best lines of the series:

Mortarion:Then you will not be persuaded. A shame. I invested much energy to save you, brother. I shall take no pleasure in your destruction.

Jaghatai:And there is the difference between you and me. By the time I make my kills, I'm laughing.

Ran

Y'know, despite all of Kyr Vahlen's fancy weapons, I kinda would expect him to be beating someone to death with his own helm, screaming obscenities at the top of his ravaged lungs.

As potent as a Paragon Blade? Maybe not, but it would fit his humours perfectly.

I forgot about thiel! I love him also.

But Ventanus has some of the best on liners in the whole series....

"No. Today, we march for Calth."

Love it!

Anyone would think you like Ventanus or something tongue.png

He is my liege.....He is my Emperor....

"We keep fighting, thats what we always do"

Come one^ the best one liners!

slight off topic question: anyone else wish that the FW specific characters got some short storiea or novels? Many of them sound quite interewting and a few of them are already appearing on this thread

Not quite sure if i understand the question fully, but most of these characters mentioned are already in novel and novellas.

Nassir Amit - The Flesh Tearer himself, the man is so brutally honest that he stared down his own Primarch after speaking an uneasy truth about Horus. To defy a Primarch is something that is against an Astartes hypnoindoctrination and to defy your own is something that should be genetically impossible, especially with one who inspires so much loyalty as Sanguinius does

Tarik Torgaddon - An astartes with the greatest sense of humour ive ever read from a Black Library novel to date, his character to me sybolised the bright future the Emperors great crusade promised, a time of peace and prosperity and an end to war. Sadly this was never meant to be and his death made the galaxy a little darker IMO

Jago Sevatarion - A man who truly is on no ones side, a murderer to the core with a dark sense of absolute justice. Ive loved every moment I've listened to or read about involving the Prince of Crows
