Your favorite HH character

The entire Mournival. I love the first three books in the series because of that four. From Garviel's initiation, all the way to their fight in the cathedral.

Horus Rising was a brilliant entry to the series because it made the Astartes and Horus himself, feel so very human and real. The Mournival are the epitome of this, they have so much character on their own, so when they are in a group the page just explodes with life, and some well placed humor.

Damn now I wanna read Horus Rising again.

I've got to say Mor for my favourite based on how dark and menacing a character he is, and the fact that his Clan are literally the Night Lords of the Tenth Legion (can't wait for Clan Morragul to be fleshed out properly!).  Outside of my own legion I would have to go with Sevatar or Khârn.

Shiban Khan, in Brotherhood of the Storm and Scars. Dude's the most reasonable man in the 31st millennium while still being absolutely berzerk with a power glaive.

He tries hard to be polite and establish a friendship with Torghun Khan despite their differences; have you ever seen a space marine feel awkward about having said the slightly wrong thing and try and apologise later? With a bow?

He thinks how he cannot bring himself to hate the orks and how he will be sad when they're gone, for how much he has learned from killing them.

He writes poetry, fully aware that this might seem incongruous with the whole armoured warrior thing, but is glad to be part of a legion where that is accepted and even encouraged.

He strives to improve himself: he makes sure his men do double duty with flamers to make sure no ork spores stick, knowing that in the past the WS have been reckless and not done this. Paying attention to detail does not come naturally to him but he really tries.

Shiban Khan is everything a marine should be while still being a well-fleshed out character.

The setting, more than any specific character.

Yes.

OLlanius pius is now number one for me.....well tied for number 1:). I just wonder....who did he fight for in the battle of verdun, the French or Germans?!

I liked him more before they made him a Christian...significantly more.

If I had to pick though, it would be someone from the Mechanicum. I just love those characters for some reason.

Yeah, I've gotta say I like the setting the best after mulling it over the past couple days. That being said, I haven't read a good portion of the Black Library material, so I'm probably not the best one to comment, but I personally do like the setting a lot.

Dorn has typically been enjoyable to read, his temper tantrums are great.

I like Loken because he effectively brings you into the setting, and his character ark looks like it will get interesting.

Sevatar is good fun, i like that he is clearly 'bad' but seems to have an honour system all of his own, plus he headbutted Sigismund - which makes him alright in my books.

I feel like overall the blood angels have been written pretty poorly (same issue with dark angels), however I do like Sanguinius' portrayal in the recent Sotha book, his character shines through well, same for Kurze when they have their little chat actually.

Raldoron is quite cool, chapter master that goes to a fight where greater daemons in play... with just a bolter is pretty cool. I do however prefer his portrayal in Prospero Burns... I REALLY need them to display the supposed combat prowess he has however, as in one of the books he's ranked as being up there with champions like Sigi... Im not as much of a fan of Amit as many people seem to be, Azkhellon is pretty cool and has been fleshed out more than most of the BA characters.

Shiban is pretty damn awesome
