Karsus
Quick question. SoH's Merciless Fighters rule states "If the number of SoH infantry models... blah blah." And, if I recall correctly, unit type changes to Jump Infantry when Jump pack is equipped. So, technically, Reavers with Jump pack = Jump Infantry, and Jump Infantry =/= 'infantry.' That capital 'I' is what confuses me. Would that 'infantry' means, well, all the 'Infantries' like regular Infantry, Jump Infantry, etc? Or just regular 'Infantry" only? Would Reavers get benefit from the MF rule? Noctus Cornix
In the core rulebook, it specifies that Jump Infantry ARE Infantry in every regard with a few additional rules. xera32
Jump and Jet are modifiers (like tank and open topped). That is why you can have jump/jet monsters, and even jet cavalry. SillyDreadnought
You're looking into this too hard.Short answer? Yes, Reavers count as two models for the Merciless Fighter rule when equipped with Jump Packs, as Jump Packs confer the Bulky rule, which is what Merciless Fighter works with.It doesn't matter if there's no capitalisation on the word 'Infantry' or not, it's irrelevant.
