About Daemonkin formations and summoning

I had a question brought up to me and I wasn't sure how to answer it.

If you summon daemons to the table using the Blood Tithe does the daemons summoned now count as being part of the say Slaughtercult formation if the Slaughtercult is the only formation?

If yes then what about multiple formations?

Also what about when you turn a characters into a Daemon Prince or Bloodthirster?

Reason this was brought up was for the Slaughtercult formations Blood tithe chart's perk about the second perk, and the Daemon Cohort formation with the deep strike HQ perk.

There's no real help in the rules for this question in respect of any conjured or Summoned unit so in the absence of any support for them being part of any Detachment or Formation the default position must be that they are not part of any Detachment or Formation.

Which kinda sucks.

If you had a standard CAD army that summoned a troops daemon unit, would it have objective secured? Exactly the same premise here (unless the conjuring rules specifically comment on it)

Edit: only mention in the conjuring rules is term "allies" (lower case). Personally I just see them as extra and therefore wouldn't gain benefits of detachments/formations. Although, they would still have the BFTBG rule, of course.

This was brought up in the OR Forum about a week and a half ago. For the summoned units to receive Objective Secured, they need to be included in the CAD during the army building process as only those in the CAD get Obj Sec.

So the question is, can you add to your CAD once the game has started? The answer is no and thus, summoned units wont get Obj Sec.
