Cult Mechanicus Beyond?

Hi everyone.

 

I know we are passed the two awesome AdMech releases (Skitarii, Cult Mechanicus) but greedy me is wondering about what could come next. Besides the rumors of a supposed Imperial Armour Mechanicum book from Forge World, what do you all think could be added to the Mechanicus?

 

I'm reading through the Cult Codex and looking over all the organizational charts, tidbits about the other sects within and am wondering if we may see more future mini-codex releases for this new faction.

 

I'm thinking it would be possible to see a Myrmidon or Ordo Reductor book to fill some much needed gaps (assault and vehicles). I'm pretty sure the remainder of this year is full rumorwise (Tzeentch sounds exciting) but would like some of your thoughts and ideas.

GW made little effort to combine skit and mech already, especially with the cult special rules discouraging allies.

 

It seems like GW's business model is to sell super expensive bundles for datasheets these days, to get rules for formations most people will never play with.

 

Inwould love to play with forgeworld stuff, but nobody where I live count FW stuff to count as real rules for the game.

 

I did order some myrmidon and 60mm bases to use as destroyers, at least I don't play with wysiwug people.

It has been a long wonderful trip from March to May.

As for GW, "Business is as business does." I haven't had a problem with them.

 

Personally, I don't mind a brief pause. The Imperial Armour book sounds intriguing, and I can't wait to see it. As new armies go, I think we have gotten a pretty good send off. Yes, there is always Forge World's Horus Heresy Mechanicum and how the two eras may reconcile.

 

You should stop over at the Adeptus Mechanicum forum [edit: ah, I see it has moved here anyway]. There will likely be many members with comments about what we have gotten and what would be nice to see in the future.
