Wow, that model is way better in your pics. It's a shame though, I think the base is more impressive than the Primarch!

Well I feel dumb for the way I built the base on mine now. I glued mine all together while thinking that the 40mm base was too big to slot in from above. Stuck him on a 32mm and he slots in just fine. But wow, I surprise myself sometimes.

 

How is the overall sculpt on yours? Mine was pretty much spot on except a minor mold line or two.

 

Looking forward to seeing paint on him.

The inner base is a bit miscast. I called FW and asked for a replacement. The word Espandor is not really readable. I hope it arrive soon.

After a long break i started with the base of Primarch Guilliman. It´s a diffcult Task. I wanna paint marble. I decided to do a White marble. It´s not finished yet.

i wanna hear your opinion if i should add some more grey to the marbleization of the larger white areas or if i should leave it as it is? What do you say? As soon as this is decided i will seal it with satin varnish for the finishing. a gloosy seal would only make it look wet.

Color of the marines and vehicles, as often stated, is great.

 

For the marble, can you get a tint between the basic white and grey to feather in amongst the bluish grey? I think it will break up the lines and serve as a good transition, as marble is not as tidy as many people paint it. It's over of those surprising painting things where the randomness looks more lifelike than painstaking detail. Does that make sense? Sorry if that's not definite enough.

i started with my Contemptor. The arms are magnetized. The blue and white are done. Today i will start with the gold and the details. After that i'll have to add the decals, do the chipping, remaining battle damages and weathering.

I also got the last parts for my two Tactical Veteran Squads. Over the last three week i build 40 bases (for other squads too) and did the battle damages.

This box includes the first 20 MK4 for the two Tactical Squads. I want to mix them with 10 MK2 and 10 MK3. But that's for later.

The BaC box includes also 5 terminators in Cataphractii armour. Those Terminators comes standard with a combi bolter and a power weapon. But the box offers only the options for claws, fist or chain fists. When i build them i gave them the fists and one chain fists. Since yesterday FW released a set of power weapons for them. So i will order a set and replace the fists with PW.
