Relict
Angron was oddly chummy with both Mortarion and Perturabo around the time of Isstvan III and V. In The Flight of the Eisenstein, Garro saw the two wander off together after the briefing with Horus, "one speaking, the other listening." I can see the two finding at least some common ground in the fact that both absolutely, positively despised tyrants and both had grudges against the Emperor. The IV and XII Legions were listed as being quite close with each other in the allies matrix. Both Primarchs also had little regard for their sons and had very bitter/vindictive personalities. Angron initially despised Lorgar, first seeing him as the weakest of the eighteen and later seeing him as tainting himself with unholy powers and zealotry. He gradually came to an understanding with Lorgar during the course of the Shadow Crusade, first seeing his formerly weakling brother fighting and killing well, then saving each other's lives on Armatura. Lorgar cared for Angron - seeking to understand the effects of his implants first and how to save his brother later. Angron was certainly interested in the new powers Lorgar had gained, although he never got around to learning them. Lorgar did manage to free Angron from his pain, in a way. Wade Garrett
Ever since "Savage Weapons" I've liked the idea of Curze and Lion interacting. Not fighting like in Unremembered Empire or Prince of Crows, but just hanging around one another being pessimistic and paranoid about everything. I think there was something there, how many other times have we seen a Loyal Primarch and a Traitor actually meet and talk things over with one another post Isstvan?
