MORTARION COLOUR SCHEME

 

ARMOUR

1. Undercoat with Skull White spray;

 

2. Wash with 50/50 mix of Seraphim Sepia and Lahmian Medium;

 

3. Highlight with White Scar mixed with Lahmian Medium.

 

 

 

GREEN 

1. Basecoat with Castellan Green;

 

2. Highlight with 50/50 mix of Castellan Green and Elysian Green;

 

3. Highlight with Elysian Green.

 

 

 

BRASS

1. Basecoat with Warlock Bronze;

 

2. Highlight with Runelord Brass.

 

OIL/RUST STREAKS

1. Serephim Sepia thinned with Lahmian medium and applied in controlled strokes

 

2. Mix black and Brown and apply in very fine stipples at source of rust (top of most prominent rust streaks)

 

 

 

DEATH SHROUD ROBES

1. Airbrush white as a base coat

 

2. Blend Tamiya Sky Grey into the recesses

 

3. Mix Tamiya Sky Grey and German Grey and blend into the deepest recesses.

 

4. Wash purple glaze into deepest recesses in thin layers

 

5. Glaze very thin layers of Lamenters yellow into random areas to stop the white looking too clean. This needs to be very thin and apply as a tint to make the white look slightly off colour

 

 

 

DIRTY PATCHES

1. Use Agrax Earthshade heavily thinned with Lahmian Medium by washing in random patches allowing it to pool were you want the largest dirt patches.

 

2. Repeat step one, but use Seraphim Sepia

 

 

 

VERDIGRIS

1. Heavily thin Sotek Green and wash into recessed areas.

 

2. Repeat step one bit in smaller patches using Nihilakh Oxide.

 

 

 

FLESH

1. Use a basecoat of Vallejo Panzer Aces Flesh.

 

2. Highlight stage 1 is a 75/25 mix of the basecoat colour and Cadian Flesh Tone.

 

3. Highlight stage 2 is as per the previous stage but in a 50/50 mix.

 

4. Highlight stage 3 is as above but with a 25/75 mix.

 

5. Highlight stage 4 is pure Cadian Flesh Tone.

 

6. Highlight Stage 5 is a 50/50 mix of Cadian Flesh Tone and Vallejo Panzer Aces Highlights Flesh.

 

7. Wash Druchi Violet into the recesses, around the eyes, nose and under the bottom lip etc.

 

8. Glaze with a very thin layer of Waywatcher green

 

9. Re-wash with druchi violet into the deepest recesses

 

10. The final head highlight stage is pure Vallejo Panzer Aces Highlights Flesh.
