2250 Auxilia/Cultists & Word Bearers

Ok, I've not played any Heresy yet, but the Warp Cults list means that I'm able to use my 40k renegades. With the addition of some fluffy Word Bearers, here's my idea for a force. Is this a viable HH army?

Force Commander (Cult Hoard, Tainted Flesh) - Power Fist [135]

Rogue Psyker - Alpha Level [60]

Inducted Levy Squad - 40 models, CC weapons [80]

Mutant Spawn - 10 models [260]
Auxilia Malcador - TL Lascannon, Sponson Lascannons, Hull Demolisher, Siege Armour [305]

Legion Centurion (Word Bearers) - Chaplain, Jetbike, Lvl1 Psyker [160]
Legion Tactical Squad - [150]
Legion Terminator Squad - Plasma Blaster, 2 Thunder Hammers, 1 Chainfist, 2 Lightning Claws [230]
Anvillus Pattern Dreadclaw [100]
Derideo Dreadnought - Anvillus Autocannons, Ailolos Missile Launcher [220]

Aegis Defense Line - Icarus Lascannon [85]

TOTAL - 2250

The attacking section comprises 120 Cultists (WS2, Rending, Zealot, FNP6+, cause Fear) led by the Demagogue and 10 Spawn (Fearless, Rage, etc) led by the Jetbike Chaplain running forwards, supported by a turn 1 Dreadclaw with Terminators assaulting out in Turn 2.

The tactical squad and rogue psyker hold a home objective behind the Aegis Line with the Icarus Lascannon and the Deredeo as AA. The Rogue Psyker and Chaplain both take Malefic Demonology so they can continue to pour troops in. The Rogue Psyker will die, but that's fine as long as he makes a Herald or two first. Ideally fast, rending Slaanesh daemons.

Two Malcadors with lascannons and demolishers make up my anti-tank and add some anti-TEQ.

I think it's awesome. I would look for a hard counter to knights though.

I've been playing around with a similar idea. ultimately though I would just max out the lexy squads to 300 bodies. 120 bodies dies quicker than you think.

It's actually does a lot of things tactically.

1. It makes you list really hard for your opponent to get kill points

2. It denies the board to anything not in a transport

3. It let's you focus ALL you other points on tank hunting

On the flip side, 6 infantry squads with krack grenades and a melta bomb is interesting as well. Rending krack can threaten a lot of targets. But again 120 bodies is smaller than you think.

I do like you termi idea, I think they mesh well.
