Imperial Templar Knight

Just finished my allied detachment.  This is the Imperial Knight Furion.

Furion was an independent freeblade that fought in the Jerulas Crusade alongside the Black Templars when the call came to integrate the Hiveworld back into the Imperium.  During the course of the said battle a Crusader squad was left stranded in no-mans land when their Rhino transport was struck by enemy heavy artillery.  Left in the open and with no immediate support from their brethren, the crew faced a treacherous hailstorm of enemy fire before they could come into grips with the defending hive force.

Being the only unit close enough to assist before the Crusader squad was blasted to ash, the free blade Knight responded, quickly moving to the Crusaders and using its massive body to shield the squad as they both advanced forward.  The damage sustained by the freeblade knight was stupendous but it returned fire with equal zeal.  Heavily damaged and barely functional the freeblade completed its task and delivered the Crusader to Hive city's bastions and into grips with the enemy where they unleashed righteous fury.

In the aftermath of the battle the freeblade was honored for its actions with the Templars own tech marines overseeing the repairs.  High Marshal Ludoldus dubbed the freeblade knight be henceforth named Furion and granted the use of the Templar Heraldry.  The door of the rhino it defended was affixed permanently to walker to shield it as it shielded the transport's crew.

You said tech priests, perhaps you meant tech marines?

Noted.  Thanks.

. Great model, good story as well. On a side note I wouldn't mind seeing a close up of the emperor's champion model.

Here you go.  It's actually the first model i bought when i started playing 40K back in 4th.
