Rustican
Just finished my allied detachment. This is the Imperial Knight Furion. Furion was an independent freeblade that fought in the Jerulas Crusade alongside the Black Templars when the call came to integrate the Hiveworld back into the Imperium. During the course of the said battle a Crusader squad was left stranded in no-mans land when their Rhino transport was struck by enemy heavy artillery. Left in the open and with no immediate support from their brethren, the crew faced a treacherous hailstorm of enemy fire before they could come into grips with the defending hive force. Being the only unit close enough to assist before the Crusader squad was blasted to ash, the free blade Knight responded, quickly moving to the Crusaders and using its massive body to shield the squad as they both advanced forward. The damage sustained by the freeblade knight was stupendous but it returned fire with equal zeal. Heavily damaged and barely functional the freeblade completed its task and delivered the Crusader to Hive city's bastions and into grips with the enemy where they unleashed righteous fury. In the aftermath of the battle the freeblade was honored for its actions with the Templars own tech marines overseeing the repairs. High Marshal Ludoldus dubbed the freeblade knight be henceforth named Furion and granted the use of the Templar Heraldry. The door of the rhino it defended was affixed permanently to walker to shield it as it shielded the transport's crew. http://i.imgur.com/Nc7vPPn.jpg http://i.imgur.com/B2h00Vg.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/309412-imperial-templar-knight/ Share on other sites

Timotheus
I always thought about this as an option but so far I considered it a too big fluff violation.....but it looks damn awesome! :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/309412-imperial-templar-knight/#findComment-4089609 Share on other sites

Ciler
. Great model, good story as well. On a side note I wouldn't mind seeing a close up of the emperor's champion model. Marshal Reinhard
I'll be honest, I find that the rhino door sticks out a bit too much with what it is. Otherwise this adds to lists of proofs that a Knight in BT color looks helluva sweet Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/309412-imperial-templar-knight/#findComment-4090528 Share on other sites
Andhil
Hehe that Rhino door's awesome! It's not what I'd do, but it's original, and you've got a good backstory reason for it, so again. Awesome. Dono1979
I'm glad you came up with a backstory for the association, a good little setting the scene which could be easily expanded into a short story Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/309412-imperial-templar-knight/#findComment-4091733 Share on other sites

On a side note I wouldn't mind seeing a close up of the emperor's champion model. Here you go. Rustican
That looks awesome. I really like the attached Rhino door. I still had bits left over from the chapter upgrade kit. I started playing around with it when assembling the knight and came up with the back story when i was painting it.
