go why this stuff are not sticky!!! thank u man! biggrin.png for the IK part im done, can some one hel pe for the battle congregation ? specifically, it say that all weapon and weargear option are free... so, in our count in the list we consider onlt the flat unit cost ?

Its sound amazin, so why some people told me its not so competitive ?

The general attitude toward the War Congregation is it gives you a lot of neat toys and is actually a good mix of units, but it has several downsides.  On the one hand, you get max upgrades/options (but remember, you have to pay for additional models in a unit), but you have 10 compulsory units and not a lot of points to play with on either end.  Some players consider Ruststalkers, Infiltrators, and Rangers to be inferior so they treat those units as a "tax" on the formation.  Additionally, you won't be able to get much redundancy into the list since you're only taking one of each unit (and can't take more unless you ally).  Finally, you'll be restricted on ally options (since you won't have a lot of spare points) so flexibility is further decreased.

It's certainly not a bad formation, as you will have a lot of killing power and nifty tricks in your units, but the restriction will give you problems when engaging different foes.  Also, keep in mind that some gaming formats do not allow Lords of War, so this Formation would be illegal in those formats (though this could be a non-issue depending on your gaming group).

ok, thats pretty a clear explanation. So you think is not worth to buy ? as i say, for now i only ordered a IK, and i thought this kind of formation will be kinda cool. its better the web formation cohort mechanicus maybe with an IK as allied ?

btw as i can see from the cult mechanicus battle congregation, i can put in it more troops than only 2!

I play the War convocation Formation and I would defiantly recommend it. I had no interest whatsoever in Dragoons, Ruststalkers, Infiltrators or a knight but since running the formation I have found that these units are actually quite good and when used with canticles they can become AMAZING.

Strength 8 and 9 ruststalkers and infiltrators beating down a wraithknight was a glorious sight.

I am only playing at 1500 points right now as me and my buddies are preparing for a team tournament but I am really looking forward to bulking out the force with some retrobots which have also performed splendidly in the few games I have used them in.

and yes the cohort formation looks poo in comparison.
