Primarch of the Ultramarines Legion and Master of the Five Hundred Worlds of Ultramar, Roboute Guilliman is an indefatigable warrior, consummate tactician and statesman without parallel. He has forged the XIIIth Legion to be a disciplined and deadly force; one which fights with seamless tactical integration.

His mastery of strategy makes him not only an unrivalled commander, but also a lethal combatant. An expert in the arts of war, Guilliman possesses a vast selection of weapons and wargear. The most iconic of which include the Hand of Dominion, a unique power gauntlet, the Gladius Incandor, a shimmering blade of great artifice and the Arbitrator, a customised combi-bolter.

Roboute Guilliman, Primarch of the Ultramarines, is part of the Horus Heresy Character Series. This complete multi-part resin kit is supplied with a 40mm gaming base, which slots into a 60mm scenic diorama base for display. A video showcasing this model can be found HERE.

Rules for Roboute Guilliman and the Ultramarines Legion can be found in The Horus Heresy Book Five – Tempest.

This kit is available for pre-order today for despatch from Friday 26th June

It's really cool that Guilliman is out but I can't help but notice the trend started with Sigismund. 65 pounds sterling? More expensive than Horus? Hmmmmmmmm. I mean, is the base that much bigger? Not really. Is the detail there? No, it's flat stuff that you yourself go to the trouble of painting in marble. So... Uhhh..... Yeah.

I don't know why they've stopped doing the 'Genisis of a Primarch' videos where they actually talk about the design process and decisions they made, I found them really interesting.

They stopped doing that a while ago, around the same point they stopped publishing the designer of the models in the description. Not sure why the decision was made, could be for many reasons. I like to think that it was more of a collaboratie process rather than one designer doing all the work, but we'll probably never get a straight answer on that one.

Yeah I know it was a while ago, Curze's video was just a showcase too. Even if it was a collaboration they still could talk about the decisions they made. We probably won't know, no; it's just a bit annoying.

Where is he even meant to be standing? Some kind of plaza? Everyone else are basicly standing on runins, so i guess he gets to stand on not ruins because he didn't get hit particularly hard?

Calth wasn't particularly hard?

His 40mm version just looks ridiculous; I can't wait for someone to make Imperial Statuary out of him by painting him as stone. His sculpt works very well on display, but as a gaming piece looks completely out of place

This has already been done on the large display piece in the Warhammer World Exhibition Centre, towards the top of the tower they've taken a 3-up of Guillman and made it a large statue overseeing the fortress that is being overrun by the followers of Khorne.

The model is definitely cool.  And yeah, he does have a nice pristine base but I think that's because they're trying to show him as the statesman and not the warrior.  I personally like it because it's different and the marble looks cool.

Exactly how I wanted to see him, apart from the strange paint job on the face. He looks strained but that may have been intentional.

Great model all round though!

OK, just saw the video and he looks amazing in 360. He seems more solid. I like him even better now, well done forgeworld!

Man, I just got the deja vu feeling from this one. Probably has something to do with the fact that I binge-watched HBO's Rome not long ago.

I like it. Guilliman has always been characterized as a statesman first and the a warrior second. The armor is perfect. I know the sword is based on a Roman gladius (which is a short sword), but still I wish it could had been a little larger. The face looks good (I wish I could paint bare heads that well) - definitely in line with his FW artwork, going with the very patrician "Roman" look.

I think 1d4chan summed it up best: "His face just screams 'I'm surrounded by plebeians.'" :P
