Jegind
As topic says, I would really like to see how your purifiers look like. I cant decide how I should paint my own, so need somekind of inspiration.....and dont want them to look like all the other silver cans on the table :D So please hook me up with some inspiration ;) -Michael Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/309712-show-me-your-purifiers-d/ Share on other sites
Hexagon Sun
Mine are in the standard scheme, I think the white pads and helmets break things up nicely. http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o551/hexagonsun1/Grey%20Knights/Troops/purifiers_finished_zpsbwi0vjyp.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/309712-show-me-your-purifiers-d/#findComment-4095943 Share on other sites
Jegind
For some reason i cant get the white color to cover so i feel good with it :( been trying alot tho. I tried to use alot of wash on mine, and they actually started to look cool (with a platemail primer under it) but then i came to the white color...... Your looks really awesome tho, Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/309712-show-me-your-purifiers-d/#findComment-4096172 Share on other sites
Hexagon Sun
Thanks, I had the same trouble with the white at first so don't give up. I got these 2nd hand and they were already glued and primed black so I had to do the shoulder pads with lots of thin white coats. It might be easier to start with a light grey though as it can sometimes cover the black better than straight white. But thin your paints so the coats go on smoothly and it gives a better finish. If it's not too late then the best thing to do is leave the shoulder pads and heads off and prime them white separately. Then you can do the rims in black first and paint the silver. Or if you haven't used much glue then you can probably take them off. I did that with the heads on mine and stuck them on a spare length of sprue for painting. Jegind
Ill try upload one as soon as I can. I prime my GK with platesilver, then I wash them, and drybrush them 2 times. Im far from good at painting, so I still have alot to learn. Guess I wanna try make them abit diffrence from the "normal" color scheme of GK....since all my others troops look "normal" :D want them to look hatefull and dark :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/309712-show-me-your-purifiers-d/#findComment-4096387 Share on other sites

Kruso
Nice pictures boys,......i want more Since im not that good at painting, is there an easy way to paint powerswords and glowing eyes? Hey Jegind! I'm kind of a new guy here and I don't yet own Purifiers myself. However, in this video there is quite a simple way to paint glowy eyes. Works great :) As for powerswords, you have to check somewhere else, as this guy only paints them metallic.
