Barabbas Sogalon
Just something I need cleared up before bloodletting my wallet. 1. What parts are Sevatar made up of? Most importantly are his arms fully separate pieces? 2. Is it possible to give the Polux model a helmet or is it necessary to remove the gorget first? 3. Out of curiosity: Is Polux (only the man himself) larger than other marines? Toomanyprojects
Don't know about 1&2 but Pollux is definitely large than a normal marine. The fluff says that he is a huge guy and towers above his subordinates. m_r_parker
Can't help on Sev, but if he's like most of the other Character series he's most likely to be single torso / legs, separate arms and pads and a separate head. I've just tried to put a Mk IV head in the Pollux that I have (he's unassembled at the moment, and MkIV is the most 'discrete' helm to put on), and the gorget does indeed get in the way. Either he goes bare headed or you cut the gorget away. As for the size of Pollux, he's a big boy. He's more or less the same height as a Character in Terminator Armour. I took the below a couple of months ago (when I got back from the Weekender) and compares the height with Abaddon (in Termie Armour) and the two Imperial Fist Command Squad members. If you look in the gorget and the lines of the pad behind the models, you can see he's in line with Abaddon and taller than the Command Squad. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t272/m_r_parker/Heresey%20Weekender%202015/6ED5C26C-565A-48D5-9237-486CBF520DF9_zpskvlfwhfh.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/309844-about-the-sevatar-and-polux-models/#findComment-4098003 Share on other sites
1ncarnadine
1) Nope, large portions of the arms are part of the torso unfortunately. The right hand is separate, and the left forearm is separate. Here, jacked this pic from ebay to illustrate: http://i.imgur.com/m9PFESX.jpg?2 Not sure on 2 & 3. Barabbas Sogalon
@ m_r_parker: Had planned to use a mk III helm, so I guess that means no gorget. Good to know about the size. He'll do well as a giant Iron Warrior. @ LetsYouDown: I feared that was the case. Hopefully it won't be too difficult to remove the arms without collateral damage. Thanks, guys. Daemon2027
Just to add its really hard to get a helm on Pollux. I tried to get Khâtns helm on which is a little smaller and found it hard. I also struggled with the bare head from the Praetor set. It and the connector part of his head are both kinda oval so that when you pop it in it faces a certain direction. You'd probably have to carve a bit out of it to widen the gap and make it rounder to have an easier time fitting other heads. Barabbas Sogalon
Can't say I'm happy to hear that, but I'll do what it takes to get my Iron Warrior captain.
