Ulrik_Ironfist
Unnecessary restrictions on FW are a huge problem. I'm of the mind that you should force the issue OP. They're holding you to rules that benefit them, and don't allow you to play the strengths of your codex. Technically, the mortis is an "upgrade" (I know it isn't really, but I'm trying to help the OP make a case to his gaming group) to a standard dread. It's not in the codex, but it's a dreadnought chassis (which is in the book), with a heavy 4 twin linked autocannon (yes I know you can take las too but I'm trying to make a point). It costs 15 points more base, and you can make a Rifleman dread in the standard codex. 15 points for skyfire and interceptor per unit, isn't bad, and it's not like it's a stalker or hydra (which ignore jinks), he can still get his jink save. It's not that bad at all. I'd be for offering those special snowflakes a straw, so they can suck it the up.
