This squad is there to hunt things: Blobs, TEQs (Phosphex Bombs, yo), MCs (Fleshbane Missiles that permanently reduce Toughness? Yes please!), etc. And due to the Moritat having Scout, the unit technically has an 18" movement T1. The Tac Squads are pretty basic. They're to screen for the JP Squad and to cap any Mid/Forward objectives. Deredeo is AA Insurance but otherwise is just more shots to put down range, potentially even Pin Squads with the Missile Launcher (hah, yeah right). Medusas are there for some S10 Ordnance and to make some use out of the Siege Breaker permitting Phosphex Shells. Sure, they're a squadron and have to shoot at the same thing but, if it gets shot by the Squadron and Survives, they're gunna have a bad time due to the Phosphex Plate left behind, especially if its a Transport that gets popped and the unit is dropped into the Phosphex Template. Heavy Support Squad is there for the Choom Factor and, since they have Tank Hunters due to IF rules, they can still tackle Av12 or Weaker Armor, which is usually what Xenos Av Consists of. Drown them in 40 S6 Tank Hunter Shots or Get Incinerated by the same amount but with Deflagrate. Since they have Interceptor and very high volume of fire, they could also easily perform Anti-Air in a Pinch. Thudd Guns are there to make sure they have a Bad Time. All in all, with 16 S8 Sunder Shots, 2 S10 Ordnance Shots and 43 S6 Shots (40 of which are Deflagrate/Tank Hunters), Lots of Phosphex (S5 Ap2), 12 S5 3" Blasts (Frag Shells from the Quads), I think most of my bases should be covered. Not to mention the Boat Loads of Melta Bombs available. Only real problem is that the highest AV in the Army is 13 (deredeo) and that its still massed 3+ armor Saves and the Average threat range is 36", Not great. If needs be, I'd drop the Hardened Armor from the HSS to give the Tac Marines Nuncio-Voxii for the Thudd Guns firing Frag shells and even the Medusas so I can hide them out of LoS. Especially since you have small squads in rhinos, just a couple dudes lost and you could lose the unit to being swept or could break at an inopportune time. It means that once they're drowning in the Phosphex's Marker, they're unlikely to get out of the way of the S10 Shots afterwards. As for the Vexillas, I +/- Gave everyone who could take one, one..since the HWS cant take a Vexilla...
