elciedery
Hi, all. In the minidex of A.S, dominion squad has AoF "Holy Fusillade" It is stated that "all weapons in the dominions unit have the ignores cover special rule". So, if one of dominions model grab the quad gun in the move phase, quad gun gets ignore cover? Sororita Katya
Technically yes, but it would still have to snapshot any ground unit and most of the time flyers aren't really in cover and can still jink. tvih
I see, Quad gun cannot shoot ground targets without snapshot in 7th anymore... Well, that sucks. Ignores Cover still prevents Jinking tthough, as it is a cover save and you can't take cover saves against Ignores Cover. elciedery
Oh, Thanks, guys... Actually, I'm thinking about shooting Macro cannon on aquila strongpoint with dominion squad P.S. Macro cannon is 72", D, ap 1, primary weapon 2, large blast. *Furyou Miko
Technically yes, but it would still have to snapshot any ground unit and most of the time flyers aren't really in cover and can still jink. Jink provides a cover save. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310363-can-dominion-squad-use-quad-gun-with-ignore-cover/#findComment-4108346 Share on other sites
Spacefrisian
Yup jink is a cover save, and the Skyfire rule hits all models with the jetbike, skimmer, flyer and monstrous flying creatures on full BS, its a litle something often overlooked. In fact those who read it think its totaly brand new ruling for 7nth ed, even though it also had that during 6th. grendal1989
I had not really thought of this, may make for a reason to do a minimum squad on a quad gun with a simulacrulum (horribly misspelled) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310363-can-dominion-squad-use-quad-gun-with-ignore-cover/#findComment-4109828 Share on other sites

ValourousHeart
Oh, Thanks, guys... Actually, I'm thinking about shooting Macro cannon on aquila strongpoint with dominion squad :P P.S. Macro cannon is 72", D, ap 1, primary weapon 2, large blast. You should try it with a Vindicare Assassin. You don't have to use an act of faith to get ignore cover. And you also get precission shots and BS 8. That means you will be hard pressed to miss the guy you put under the hole, and you get to pick who takes those SD wounds. Wintermits
If you really wanted to make flying armies cry.. Put a canoness in with the doms, then you can shoot it at BS 5 AND ignorecover. RIP flyers. Frater Cornelius
Most flying armies are FMC though and most of those do not care for AP4 shots since they have better saves. Good against Belakor though. Still, I feel that an Avenger Strike Fighter will do a much better job in the end. Oh I think you misunderstood me, I'd take the str 9 ap 1 gun if i were to take an anti air fortification. thats 4 shots twinlinked.. And if you have a canoness you're hitting on 2's Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310363-can-dominion-squad-use-quad-gun-with-ignore-cover/#findComment-4133008 Share on other sites
Frater Cornelius
Ah Ok, I somehow concluded that it is the Quad Gun, as usual. Nevermind then ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310363-can-dominion-squad-use-quad-gun-with-ignore-cover/#findComment-4133135 Share on other sites
