Lukash_
Buy a box of scions, a squad or two can be a nice force multiplier to a Guard army. Outfit them with the respirator heads, which saves ~8 heads with just berets for your regular dudes. UltraRich
Buy a box of scions, a squad or two can be a nice force multiplier to a Guard army. Outfit them with the respirator heads, which saves ~8 heads with just berets for your regular dudes. This is what I did. I got a box off ebay for £16 when the heads were £1 each. You also get loads of spare bits and weapons Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310555-scion-heads/#findComment-4111554 Share on other sites

Buster
You'll have to trim the necks down on the scions if you want them to fit on the cadian torsos. Just a heads up Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310555-scion-heads/#findComment-4112138 Share on other sites

elmo
You can get non-GW beret heads from a couple of sites which will work well if you find yourself having problems locating Scion ones. http://www.puppetswar.eu/product.php?id_product=306 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310555-scion-heads/#findComment-4112448 Share on other sites

morroccomole
I figured I could tack this question onto this thread without starting a new one: Does anyone have a tutorial or tips for trimming the scion necks down for use on guardsmen torsos? I have 4 boxes of Scions I'm currently sitting on, and I'm planning to do up more regulars first. If I can clip out the beret heads and slap them on the flak-armored bodies, all the better. our_baz
You need to cut / file bulbous neck lump down on the scion head To make it fit the Cadian torso. To be honest it's not that hard a mod, if you are unsure how much to trim compare the neck areas of a scion head and a Cadian. The cadian "necks" are rather flat. Father Mehman
These guys look sharp when they're completed! The goateed beret head will be used for my Company Commander when I can find the time...which should be soon, I hope. Sete
After a bit of trimming on the neck, it does look good. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310555-scion-heads/#findComment-4135415 Share on other sites
Ulrik_Ironfist
If you have the tools, you can deepen the neck to fit the nub, and it will be less fiddly to get together. elmo
As ulrik writes, I found it easier to dremmel out the torso to fit the head/neck nub. This also allows you to pose the head easier.
