Joe
Not the dirty kind of stripping, sadly. I stripped a few resin SMs earlier using some Dettol (the brown stuff) and it's come out wonderfully, although it's come out a bit sticky; I've tried running it under some hot water whilst scrubbing it down but this doesn't seem to have done anything. Any advice? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310655-stripping-minis/ Share on other sites
Kaedes Nex
I haven't used Dettol myself since I'm from NA, but I hear this problem is caused by the water. Scrub in pure Dettol to prevent sticky residues. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310655-stripping-minis/#findComment-4113949 Share on other sites
Stercus
I'd also recommend scrubbing them down in a soap solution (any kind of dish soap, fairy liquid for instance, should be fine but not the type you'd put in a dishwashing machine) after they've been in the dettol. Dettol reacts with water to create that kind of "gummy" residue, and the soap helps to prevent this reaction. Once you've rinsed the soapy solution off with plain water they should be nice and clean.
