The sculpted armour torsos really convey a sense of artistic beauty that is reminiscent of the Renaissance whereas the robes, tabards, censers, etc convey a very Gothic feel. I'll be interested to see how they merge together when painted and the Green Stuff is complete . Quick question: your Company Master looks to be in TDA. Is that before you get done with the Green Stuff and any further converting; is it Artificer Armour? The only reason I ask is because you can't take a Jump Pack while in Terminator Armour, as well you probably know already. Also, I am a big fan of the wings and I am toe see that I am not the only one using them. What kit are the torsos from? Are they Sanguinary Guard? I had to rush my grav devs so I can use them on a tournament this Saturday, and have a chance for best painted. So here are the 4 Grav Cannons : http://i61.tinypic.com/30nkgh4.jpg And the whole army prepared for the tournament : http://i60.tinypic.com/2wpmtcj.jpg The list is : HQ Librarian with Sword and Auspex Elite Dreadnought with Autocannon Troops 5 Marines with Melta and Combi-Melta in a Drop Pod with Deathwind Launcher 5 Scouts with CCW&BP, 1 Shotgun and 1 Bolter Fast Rhino with Dozer Blade Razorback with Heavy Bolter Heavy 10 Devastators with 4 Grav Cannons in a Rhino with Dozer Blade Whirlwind It's only 850 points and I can't take doubles of any unit, thats why the devs will be combat squaded and riding in the 2 Rhinos. The razorback will either be alone or taking the scouts, or depending on the enemy it can also contain the 5 Tactical Marines with Librarian. mika_angelus Posted September 21, 2015 Author Share Posted September 21, 2015 Hi! @Epher : Not exactly. The rules were that you can take a CAD with no doubles in any slot, or 1 formation. And the Dreadnought is there in the list, you just missed it @DarkAngeal : No doubles in slots, but I can use same units (like a rhino) if the come from different slots. Oh, and I did change my list a bit before the tournament. The drop pod changed from being a dedicated transport to being a fast attack choice. This gave me much more flexibility in deploying my units. Anyway back from the tournament which was awesome! I had great 4 games with nice opponents and some nice army's. I got some pictures, but I always get too excited after the first game and forget to take more. Anyway my first game was against Grey Knights. My opponent had a pretty army consisting of a Librarian, 5 Terminators, 5 Strikes in Rhino, 5 Interceptors and a Dreadknight : http://i60.tinypic.com/mhfvcz.jpg Thats after the first turn. Sadly it was a big mismatch for him thanks to my Grav Cannons and I was able to wipe him out in turn four http://i62.tinypic.com/ifbk07.jpg Thats turn 2, as you can see only the Dreadknight and the Rhino are still alive. All in all a crushing win for me. Second game was against Eldar, which was pretty obvious after such a big win in round 1 ;) His army was something like this : Farseer on a bike, 2x3 Scatter Bike, 4 Scatter Bikes, 5 D-Flamers in a Serpent and 1 D-Cannon. I decided to counter his first turn by putting my Devastators combat squaded in the Drop Pod and coming with my scouts and tacticals with Librarian from outflank (Ambush WL), sadly it didn't work http://i57.tinypic.com/2jepo4z.jpg http://i58.tinypic.com/30mbnzo.jpg Thats my first and second turn. We had a huge rules discussion which took up most of the time we had for the game, so it ended in turn 2. it didn't really mattered that much because by then I was out of Devastators + the Wirlwind, Dreadnought and one rhino were also death. Those are the last pictures I took at the tournament, like I said I get to excited Anyway Game 3 was against a Skyhammer Annihilation force which consisted of 2 full units of Devastators combat squaded to 2 units with multimeltas and gravcannons each plus 2 units of 7 and 8 assault marines with flamers. I rolled the night attacker WL and deployed behind a small hill in the corner of my table edge protecting everything valuable with an empty Razorback and Scouts. He droped, killed the Razorback and scouts and after that was mostly running away with his assault marines. At the end he only had 1 Assault Marine left which simply refused to die despite taking 2 Grav-Cannons, a lot of bolters, Deathwind Launcher and even some psychic shriek to the face. Still a big win for me. Last game was against orks....oh it has been years since I played against orks!! He had a mega boss with the stick, a painboy on a bike, 30 boyz with a claw nob, 10 boyz in a truck, 7 tankbustas in a truck, a deathkopta and a battery of some cannons with s8 ap1!! Anyway I didn't have enought fire power to go through all those boyz. My grav cannons were useless this game, and the whirlwind was very dissapointing (one hit in 5 turns) A little bit of luck in the last turn would give me something along a tie or a small defeat, but the luck just wasn't there - razorback immobilized itself trying to reach an objective. His truck on last hull points managed to make three 5+ cover saves, and his tankbustas without a nob managed to pass 2 leadership tests. All in all a big win for him.
