AfroCampbell
I feel the White Scars should have Bullock patterned Jet-bikes with specific rules for them. alongside their power glaives. The Fists would be cool to see Archamus and the Huscarls!!!!! I can imagine some power spear+ Combat shield wielding bad-ass defenders of Terra. DuskRaider
You know what would be really cool for Alpha Legion? A super special operations unit similar to what we saw in Legion... but make the unit available to OTHER armies, preferably as a non-FOC HQ choice (like Command Squad). Obviously, they'd be available to Alpha Legion, but imagine having them in your Solar Auxilia army or Imperial Militia... or hell, ANY other Legion. It would be wicked cool. sitnam
I think much of thw real black ops cloak and dagger stuff that we see from the Alpha Legion doesnt translate well to the tabletop. StruManChu
Personally, I'd like a Death Guard Terminator squad that's more or less Destroyers in TDA. No, Grave Wardens aren't the same thing. I'd also like to see them placed in the Elite slot so I can take them as Troops. This, Nah, we curbed the market on TDA (literally, as Albions). More TDA. True, but I hear that about having a non-TDA unit for DG. Say, something like a specialist Destroyer unit with a heavy dosage of dodgy weaponry. That or some over-heavily-armoured foot sloggers designed to take a punishment (other legions have shield specialists, even toughness 5 shenanigans, I'd like to bridge the gap between 30-40k T5 PM's with special weapons). Not even a new unit or models, just some rules that we can apply to our existing tactical squads etc. This, True, I agree. We need something that better displays our resilience and our proliferation of Rad weaponry... I just get a bit miffed that even though our Legion is noted to have one of the largest quantity of TDA amongst all the Legions, yet we cannot benefit from Pride of the Legion with any of our special units. Especially when something like Grave Warden (although not great for range or strength) would convey our modus operandi. And this. We should be able to take Grave Wardens as troops, because while they're a specialist unit, they're not the most elite of the Legion. We shouldn't be able to take Deathshroud as troops (I never know if that argument's been settled or not - NOTE - I'm not trying to start the conversation again, so please don't quote this post with a list of reasons why/why not. We've all stopped caring), beceause they're the bodyguards of the freaking Primarch. There's not that many of them. We should have a unit that takes the extremes of the Destroyer idea and amplifies it to acknowledge the fact that half of the Legion (at least) grew up in the hells of Barbarus. 'Oh, what was that gas that melted my sister's face off when I was a lad? I wonder if I can put that in a grenade...' And then, I'll be totally happy with 30k Death Guard, pre-Nurgle. Arsaces
I'd like to see a genuine "Effrit" squad, because sneaky Terminators! Potentially Tartarus pattern with Stealth and/or Deep Strike. And Omegon to lead them. I need this. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310741-more-legion-specific-units/page/2/#findComment-4117138 Share on other sites

Enhanced bolters with better banestrike? StruManChu
Stalker-pattern bolters (standard bolter with Sniper instead of RF), Banestrike rounds and Preferred Enemy: Legiones Astartes maybe? Fire Golem
I don't remember the Efrit wearing terminator armour? The only time we've seen 'them' is Omegon in Legion wearing darkened power armour and referred to as the Efrit stealth squad sergeant. Give them 2+ artificier with stealth systems built in granting stealth and shrouded for a 4+ cover save in the open. They also need better punch than banestrike as it can be abit meh. Maybe give them improved banestrike (AL working on the rounds through the heresy - hinted at by mr bligh last weekend) that are ap3 all the time. Maybe some special infiltrate regardless of line of sight. Arsaces
I haven't read Legion in years. My mistake. Artificer armour, Stealth, Infiltrate, Move Through Cover. Bolter (Banestrike and the other SIR), pistol, power daggers, chameleoline. I really want Omegon though. Sneaky Primarch, being sneaky. Dantay VI
Seems daft that breacher units cannot have close combat weapons. I also wanted a shield wall for my Wolves, so did a bit of experimenting with a breacher unit and a destroyer unit. Still debating kite shields or if these round ones are okay... Also debated swapping the spears for swords or axes, either that or make a unit with mixed, swords to the front row and spears to the back... Kriegriss
it would be cool to see a huscarl sort of unit for the Fists kind of a specialty termie unit but I dunno what they would fill as far as battle field role and that's not until the siege of terra so it's a long ways off (I hope) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310741-more-legion-specific-units/page/2/#findComment-4121141 Share on other sites
Marshal Rohr
I'm building Huscarls as Terminators with shields and axes. Like the Phalanx Warders. They are resilient, get 3++ saves, hammer of wrath, and bonus toughness. spu00sed
I'm waiting for some actual pheonix guard. You know the 200 strong body guard of fulgrim, with stats to match. Or did he choose inferior warriors to be around him, to make him look even more bad arse?
