Theredknight
I didn't see that there! But I love both options, hel be pre ordered! What I did see is me talking to mark Bedford in the first pic about painting techniques. Yes people that is me in the white t shirt, a fw celeb Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310818-fw-bulletin-67-open-day-pt1/#findComment-4117195 Share on other sites
Deus Mortis
:cuss YES!!! That model is so gorgeous I'm not even annoyed that it totally obsoletes my custom version I built about 3 months ago because I thought he'd never get a release. Definitely will be putting away pennies for this lad. BFeeder
I have to say, I do like that helmed option. Though it also means headswaps are a go, which is awesome . Theredknight
Chatting with Alan bligh he said that by the time they reach terra they will be 'a completely different legion, and well past the point of no return' So at some point updated rules will happen for them, who knows when, could be 3 years away Coukd be the next book, depends how they are feeling I guess. With Steve he was saying after working on some of the bigger models (ghal vorbak) mutated marines gave him more scope and area to put details on. He was saying that he'd love to do fabius and terrata, and mutated space marine subjects. He also loved the idea of Marius vaerosian and how that he is the leader of kakophoni and essentially hopefully they get an update as well, as he used to play noise marines 'in the day' move shoot assault etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310818-fw-bulletin-67-open-day-pt1/#findComment-4117304 Share on other sites

Theredknight
It does it'd be cool! He was saying he doesn't understand why they have that ruleset, and he had to fight to make them str 6, but he proxies as well! Discussing what armies he played among other things. Cool coincidence . Ah yes, we should have badges, but I fear thatd only increase the geekdom! We're you talking about kakophoni and terrata/Marius varosean to him? Yes :) I asked him what he'd like to do with regards to the Emperor's Children, since I'm a big fan of his Palatine Blade and Kakophoni sculpts. We also discussed the Blood Angels and Word Bearers at some length, though he says it's unlikely he'll be revisiting either of them in the forseeable future. Daemon2027
I love the Emperosrs Children models, and colour scheme, but never been a fan on the background. Slips
While He is pimpin' and baller I'm miffed he has a Helmet and some others dont. Still, he might finally make me drop some cash on an EC force.. I especially like the Small Details like all the Sound Emitters for his Sonic Shrieker. Poor Sigismund and Polux. :( I'm hoping this marks a change though, where they do start adding helmet options for all the Astartes characters. I wonder if there was significant enough feedback on the characters they released without helmets that it'll be a consistent feature now? I think you are in the second pic talking to him there? I was telling him my cunning plan to use the militia rules in tempest as a blueprint to convert ogryns into mutated marines and a fabius leading them. And then we all belly laughed at the kakophoni rules and how bad they are! (I did anyway) I haven't been excited about getting my hands onto a model in a long time, but I have been waiting for ages for this guy, and glad they spent the time on him making him look the part. He will probably cost the same as sigs as he is standing on a smashed deredeo though, but well worth it!! powwow
This is definitely a model I'll be picking up for a one off painting project... I do hope it doesn't turn into a new army though @Theredknight, did the FW staff agree with you about the lacking of the kakaphoni rules? Theredknight
Mark Bedford was saying he was pulling his hair out at them, and had to fight to get them strength 6. He's an ec player in 40k in the olden times when they could move shoot and assault. As they are, with heavy they can't do that. That's without the added neg of 'gets hot' Think they were scared that the unit would be over powered, but with to much caution they have become unusable. He's hoping that some point that will get updated and we chatted about them having an 'enjoy pain' army wide rule. But I think he was more thinking about a fabius and mutant marines thing by then as we chatted about different skin tones for legion mutants etc. We shall await them, our time will come! So there are actually people at that play EC. You wouldn't say looking at the rules Anyways, Eidolon will be another great piece that will be added to my army. While reading about the EC units and rules, I get sad, but when I look at the models.. Fulgrim, Eidolon, Phoenix Guard, Palatine.. it surely makes up for it. Most definitely the most gorgeous army of the 30K scene . Theredknight
Definately the most gorgeous Models, it's what suckered me into them, plus they were my first heresy army. You can play them, it's just like Playing on hard mode at times. Took me 15 straight loses to get to grips with them..15 in a row! Flint13
Haha it's all about playing on Hard mode, Redknight. I play World Eaters so I feel you :D So Eidolon looks perfect. He's arrogant, swaggery, his helm is super unique, his hammer is finely wrought and that jump pack is exactly what I imagined a 3rd legion Praetor would own. A little more evidence of his sonic shriekers would be nice, but I'm not going to complain about something that small.
