Biaz
Hey guys, so I've finally caught on to the DoW 2 craze after all these years, however my only platform is an Acer Aspire 5560 (laptop). I'm something of a caveman when it comes to technology, so I've read a bunch of reviews, the recommended system requirements and all that, but I'm struggling to put 2 and 2 together. Is anyone here capable of telling me whether my laptop could run it efficiently? Here's a link to the specs for my laptop: http://www.lapspecs.com/detail/acer+aspire+5560 And the DoW 2 system requirements: http://www.videogamer.com/pc/dawn_of_war_ii_a_retribution/system_requirements.html If anyone's able to have a quick look and let me know whether its worth my dollaridoos I'd be ever thankful and make a sacrifice to a Chaos God of your choice ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310944-dow-2-system-req/ Share on other sites
appiah4
Your laptop has a huge variety of APU options ranging from E2 to A8 - unless you know hich one it actually has there is no way of knowing for sure. You can figure it out as follows. In Windows, Hit Windows+R and type msinfo32 into the command box, press enter. In the new window that opens, you will see a line on the right that says Processor, AMD blah blah - let us know what the blah blah part is and you can then know for sure. An E2 or A4 processor will come with a much more gimped embedded GPU, which might not be able to run the game at high settings at 1366x768, but you can get away by reducing things like shadows and particle effects. A6 and above should be able to max this aging game. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/310944-dow-2-system-req/#findComment-4119627 Share on other sites
