New HH short story - Massacre

You really must. Up there with Betrayer as one of the finest books produced by BL. Up there with Prince of Crows.

I'm not so much an ADB fan either, blindly following him and putting his works up there. I don't really care about who the authors are unless they're particularly terrible, but I'll still read them, (such as Thousand Sons, which proved to be distinctly average among Graham McNeils other works (frankly ridiculous and terrible writing, making ATS stand out). ADB is just ranks ahead of any other writer at BL with perhaps Chris Wraight and John French being anywhere in their league. Gordon Rennie too, (Zavant! Leoten Semper! Fantastic characters), but sadly he's not written in a long while.

Malcharion et al are from the Night Lords series..? I have the omnibus, must get round to reading it. I am gonna wanna do Night Lords after though...

Yes they are. Though Malcharion at that time is....a bit different. He gains some weight ;)

Talos is the main anti hero in the omnibus and has a dark future.

JUST DONT LEAVE ME AARON!!!

As per my note, now lost to the void of memory (isnt it interesting, my post yesterday no longer REALLY exists, its gone in the flash of a restored hard drive...such is our transient technological world...) I continue to get the impression that down at the Legionnaire level, no other legion hates itself more than the Night Lords.

I confess to feeling a bit sad that it turned out Curze's (paraphrasing) "I remember when Lorgar and Angron came to me with their plans to purge the disloyal from their bloodlines. Cleansing my Legion of the treasonous and disloyal...I wouldn't even know where to begin." was hyperbole and puffery.

I liked that, the idea that the Night Lords, for all that they're a pack of backstabbing liars who probably wouldn't spit on one another if they were on fire...that in some ways, their brotherhood was the most close knit of all, a kinship of shared sins that bound every soul, whether they wanted it or not, so they had no need of a purge in their ranks.

But que sera, sera.

Apologies for brevity. In a rush. Work, etc.

Nope.

Except it hasn't. There were only four Night Lord ships in the fleet and those four fired on their escorts, which are all Imperial Army and Mechanicum. There has still been no "purge" in the VIII Legion.

Yep.

Goddamn Australian time delay. All the best lines from the short were spoiled by this thread. Goddamn impatience.

Loving everything so far, nice to see First Claw again and some excellent tips of the cap to the 40k trilogy.

Now, how much money do I need to donate to which charity to see this kind of atmosphere and characterisation for my beloved DA?

16 souls, three kidneys, and a liver. To the Depthcharge gofundme for a Warlord charity.

I swear it's not a scam.

Maybe you didn't notice my location depth, but I'm Australian. We drink. A lot. You don't want any kidneys or livers procured here, trust me. Also, we don't have souls, they all escaped through the hole in our ozone layer.

Can I interest you in some toxic conceptions of masculinity, malignant melanomas, or open racism? We have those in abundance and they are all of the fun, I can assure you.
