TacoMareen
I recommend you build your own, add your special touch and make it your own. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/311199-knightly-keep-templar-fortifications/#findComment-4124076 Share on other sites
BT_Cennar
Take a look at Brother Dono1979 crusde: The Kildrech Crusade.. I know its íntimidating to see so many cool things especialy the fortress for me.. but it can also be inspiring Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/311199-knightly-keep-templar-fortifications/#findComment-4124086 Share on other sites
Joe
Using one of the WHFB structures as a base and building on it using the traditional 40k terrain pieces, gothic architecture and whatnot would probably be a good idea. A plain keep/stone keep would look a bit bizarre and out of place really. ThatOneMarshal
Hmm I know in the 4th edition book in the back it showed a templar building. Though that was just a normal building with those shields on the top. I would use the whfb scenery or a castle for a fortification. With crosses of course. Joe
There's also the chapter keep shown in White Dwarf 311. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/311199-knightly-keep-templar-fortifications/#findComment-4124350 Share on other sites
Pipkin
Thats the same keep as in the 4th codex. Anyone have anything on smaller fortifications? Skyshield? Aegis? Dono1979
This is a relatively small piece of terrain, made form the old DKOK underground building entrance that FW used to sell with a slightly modified Statue on the top. Its a little hard to see the Templar elements on the Statue, but around the base are the names of some of the High MArshals, the shield bears a vox and there are some Templar crosses scattered throughout. http://i562.photobucket.com/albums/ss62/dono1979/SAM_2427_zpsb1b1fcef.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/311199-knightly-keep-templar-fortifications/#findComment-4124400 Share on other sites
Dono1979
While not painted or Templarised, this is a larger building which you could easily make, just need Bastions and Shrine of Aquila pieces. I plan on making stained glass windows to into the sections where appropriate: http://heresy30k.invisionzone.com/uploads/gallery/album_169/med_gallery_566_169_2503040.jpghttp://heresy30k.invisionzone.com/uploads/gallery/album_169/med_gallery_566_169_2102416.jpghttp://heresy30k.invisionzone.com/uploads/gallery/album_169/med_gallery_566_169_55463.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/311199-knightly-keep-templar-fortifications/#findComment-4124406 Share on other sites
Timber_Wolf_137
Finnished the inside of a Chapter Keep this summer:http://s393.photobucket.com/user/Timber_wolf_137/media/20150609_160717_zpso6yffl1m.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0Its not very refined as it was all roughly cut with a proton hot wire, so the tiles are a bit different from one another, same with the pillars but the really messed up ones can be broken up to use as rubble or obsicles :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/311199-knightly-keep-templar-fortifications/#findComment-4227593 Share on other sites
Acebaur
I had one made a while back as a display board(it's plaster, so it's heavy as hell!). So it's open at the back but it's quite tall. I'll post up a pic later on tonight Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/311199-knightly-keep-templar-fortifications/#findComment-4227833 Share on other sites
